I find that very hard to believe. We would have to be getting more from Boston than Rondo, in my opinion, and not simply chump change, either. We've got the picks, though, and Rondo is an obvious possible target of Morey's. He'd be that 3rd star, and a guy who would provide a lot of what we're missing. Toughness. Leadership. Defense. Elite point guard skills. Thanks for the info, OP.

 

I'm slowly starting to think if Morey is thinking of getting rid of Parsons, it could mean not one but TWO stars could be headed to H-Town..

 

I was all in until "willing to include Parsons." I want no part of that. Rondo isn't that guy.

 

Sorry this reeks of bogint, I can't see the Rockets giving up Parsons since that would mean 48 minutes of Casspi and Garcia. Also who else would they have to give up? Would we be getting rid of our big man depth as well? If so this trade makes the Rockets worse now AND in the future.

People also have to keep in mind, when people like Cyberx, Doc Rocket, etc. post on here they are relaying what has been told to them. You guys have run off people in the past because they said something that didn't come to fruition. Remember, these people are relaying information about what is currently being ATTEMPTED, it's not like he is Daryl Morey on the phone negotiating these deals.

 

I personally fail to see how anyone could consider Rondo a star.

 

The Rockets can't compete with a near-Max deal & bigger role.

 

Lin+Asik+Parsons+Jones+1st round pick for Rondo+Jeff Green? Maybe throw in another 1st round pick for Avery Bradley?

Green is no star, but he is a high level 2 way role player.

 

I meant that in no way of saying I don't believe Cyberx. He earned his stripes during the Dwightmare for me. I just don't like it.

Rondo is a triple double almost every night and plays defense. He's a top 5 PG.
