I don't think we have the assets to get it done but if you can get Butler to commit long term, I'd trade absolutely anything outside Harden, Capela, and Paul to make this happen. Healthy Butler is a top 10 player. You can pluck misplaced veteran role players from tanking teams to replace the depth. Heck, you can ask what Delfino is up to. A big 4 of Harden, Paul, Capela, and Butler takes you 90% of the way there.

Even if we never really got anywhere, I miss those squads. If we still need an extra 3 after the deadline bring back Kostas Papanikolaou.

Jimmy Buckets on this team would be awesome, pay whatever it takes others than CP3, Harden, Tucker or Capela then fill the team with OK subs.

If Morey pull this out, he is a Mastermind.

Zero chance both Gordon and Tucker are in the deal together.

He also gave up more money to come to the Rockets. While Gordon is also on a cheap contract when you compare it to Anderson's etc.

You may need Bulter to compete with the Warriors though. As currently constructed I don't think it will cut it. The Warriors are just so damn good. I don't want the Rockets to be a great team that never wins anything. Morey will do what he thinks is best. I just hope it is enough.

That dunk he had against OKC in the playoffs is stuff of legends.

Butler wearing a subtle Raiders logo. Move to Oakland and joining with Golden State confirmed. It was over before it started.

I find it’s hard to believe a version of this kind of deal couldn’t be completed without including Tucker.

The deal is going to revolve around something of substance (EG), draft picks (multiple 1sts) and maybe some form of unfavorable exchange of bad contracts.

Minnesota isn’t going to walk away from the table just because of PJ Tucker.

We could take Dieng back if we made a large enough package. Minny would probably have to cut some guys or find a 3rd team to clear roster spaces but it can be done.

    Butler, Dieng

    For

    Gordon, Tucker, Nene(buyout), Chriss, Qi + 2019 & 2021 1st

That’s the absolute best offer we can make without including Clint, and IMO it’s pretty damn good one.

    Would leave us with

    Paul / Knight
    Harden / Williams
    Butler / Green
    Anthony / Ennis
    Capela / Dieng / Hartenstein

Would have a pretty weak bench, but you never know Knight/Dieng/Ennis might not be too bad.

6th man of the year EG and picks should be enough for Butler.

EG should been back to back winner of 6th man. Both of Picks and him should be enough for someone who dont wanna be there anyway.
