I'm a huge Butler fan for so many reasons, but Tucker & Gordon seems a steep price. But I remember that I could never have traded Otis Thorpe, for ...well really anybody. Great player, fit next to Hakeem perfectly, gave us D, rebounding, toughness, really everything. Had that GREAT full court base ball pass. Coming off a championship year! How do you break that up? And Drexler was on the downside of his career. I was excited when it happened, but I could never have pulled that trigger. But look how that turned out! We just have to trust management. They see our players in a depth that even the most ardent fan never will. They talk to/with players and coaches, know personalities, know the locker room, etc. Morey has been a good judge of talent. I'm just riding this train and hope I like where it stops.
If it comes down to it, I'm not trading PJ for Butler. PJ is too valuable on the court, and also in the locker room. Butler is more talented but doesn't come with the same intangibles PJ brings. He does too many things for this team to trade right now. Morey better not do this
