    I don’t like him as a player, but I do think he’d be a solid addition as a backup big

    What’s your ideal outcome for the team via the buyout market?

    Getting a larger wing like Joe Johnson would be great.

    Perhaps a backup big, but I don't think there will be any available.

    At this point I mostly don't want OKC or GS getting buyout players to fix their issues.

    No, Joe won't be promised playing time, and even if he does it would be at the guard or SF spot, moving Mbah to the 4.

    That's exactly where I am. I think we're ok one way or the other.....obviously any kind of help in the front court is welcome, but I'm more interested in making sure GS and OKC miss out on what they need.

    I feel that Joe’s best position is at the 4 at this point in his career...the 3 and the 4 are pretty much interchangeable to me with the wings that we have, all of them are capable of playing either one

    I don’t see why Joe would come here if he can’t even be promised playing time, but then again, my 1st thought after hearing his name is how D’antoni would find regular minutes for him on this team.

    People don’t realie we’re not signing Joe Johnson with any expectation to play. He’s insurance. While it would be devastating to lose any of our starters, it appears that we’ve made the concerted decision to load up on wing and shooting depth, as Clone wars defense has come to define our 2017-2018 incarnation as much as anything else. Example: in that Miami game with Gordon Ariza and Ryno our you probably would have seen Johnson play 25min.

    This is why I would tend to believe he would prefer GS BOS OKC - more playing time (and for GS better chance of winning).

    I am sorry but I don't understand the infatuation with Joe Johnson.

    He is old and over the hill.

    His shooting % from the 3 is the suck this year.

    The guy is a black hole. Once the ball goes in his hands, it stays there.

    Bogut will help the team a LOT more than this redundant over the hill piece.
