This is a big reason why DM didn't way for CP3 to hit FA. FA just has too many variables and unknowns. Heck, sometimes it even ends up with your "former" team locking you in the house.
After hearing non stop about how great of a position the Celts are in and how they are a shoe in for Hayward, this is almost as amazing as Houston swinging the CP3 trade. Get BS on suicide watch, stat.
Celtics are in a great position still. They are loaded with young talent and top 5 draft picks. At least 2 of them will end up as stars. Going all in for a 4 star team where none of your stars are top 5 players is a terrible idea. George, hayward, horford, thomas is not curry, thompson, durant, green. Celtics are gonna be good eventually. Their assets might be more valuable to them than george/hayward
Good, makes the Jazz weaker. As long as the Jazz are weaker I don't care what Hayward does. Would have loved him on the Rox but can't afford him.
