IIRC cyberx's source is just his daddy who supposedly has connections to rockets. Your source has 0 credibility. Continue posting from your daddy's basement and get over it. SMH

    It's pointless.

The Rockets offered Lin a contract (expect the Knicks would match) after they could not have Dragic.

After they traded Lowry, they wanted a PG more badly so they offered a bigger one.

Lin expected to be a PG, not a SG.

The Knicks were never going to match, never going to re-sign Lin. Morey was hoodwinked by Lin & his agent while put under pressure by Les.

Felton let the cat out the bag early on to the media in his hometown about the Knicks' PG plans. Remember at the time they already had 3-4 PGs lined up signed or ready to be signed.

Later on we discovered Woodson, Melo, & Warkentien (who had Dolan's ear) didn't want Lin.

    Cybex is something else..

"Rockets want Rondo and will include Parsons!" ..... Right, well except the common fact that the Rockets were interested in ANY star player available, and that the Rockets would NOT include Parsons.

"Morey is making McHale play for his job!" ..... Right except the reports were the exact opposite.

"Morey wanted Dragic" .... So, Dragic is 10X as good as Lin, and now the magic "source" says Morey is upset he is gone? What breaking news! Also, we are to believe that Morey, after losing a game in overtime that probably cost the Rockets the series, went up to Les Alexander (who has thin skin) and blames Les???? RIGHT.

How anyone sees this guy as a source is beyond me, he is Captain Obvious.

Here... I will start a few rumors right now.....

"Rockets talk to Bulls about availability of Taj Gibson"

"Rockets and Celtics reopen Rondo discussions"

    "Rockets want Carmelo Anthony"

"Rockets interested in Doc Rivers if he leaves the Clippers"

"Rockets want to move Jeremy Lin"

"Rockets ask Parsons and Harden to work on defense this off season"

How do those marketing $$ taste now Les?

Not sure what the market value or the marketing slogan for an "Asian-American PG who turns the ball over at the most inopportune times" should be?

I am thinking a new restaurant in downtown Houston.....with some Asian American Fusion cuisine.

    On the menu?

Spicy turnovers in a few different varieties

    MMMmmmmm.....$$$$$$.....mmmmmmmmmmm......

Might as well capitalize on the current Lin frenzy.

There's a difference between information regarding trades and signings and just gossip. This falls in the latter category. What's the point of bringing stuff like this up, even if it is true, RIGHT AFTER a loss like last night?

    To prove a point?
To make Lin look even worse?
    To make Les look bad?
    To make Morey look bad?
To make us feel worse about not having Dragic?
To make us worry about something that's already out of anyone's control?

Let me know when there's a real purpose for this "info" because I'm clearly not seeing it

    Lin was clearly option b.

    I don't even think that's debatable.

I have a feeling cyberx was fired from the organization some time ago by Morey. Since then (whenever that was), his posts have been a combination of fabrications and little snippets from ex colleagues who hear rumours around the office.

This particular post must be fabricated because:

    1) Morey would probably not make such a comment in front of a lot of people, essentially telling his boss that he chose money over wins. Morey is a suit. He has a good relationship with Les. This type of comment IMO would have to be made in private.

    2) This must have been a small meeting, in which case the only people who would know this are Les, Morey, maybe McHale and Les' assistant. Les' assistant is certainly not going to risk his/her job when he/she knows Morey and other players can easily get to the bottom of this. It would be too obvious. Obviously it's not Les and Morey. I can't imagine McHale leaking this info.

So where does this tidbit come from? IMO Cyberx is an ex employee whose posts show a pattern of wanting to increase the pressure on Morey and also of having no fear of being fired. He/she has nothing to gain here, so why risk losing a job with dangerous leaks like this?

That doesn't mean I don't appreciate what he/she's brought to the board. It just means I take what he/she says with a grain of salt.
