Well when the consolation prize is a fringe all star who fills a need (wing defender), its not the end of the world.
What? The media and BBS told me LeBron to Cleveland was a done deal!!! SOORSEZ AWWLL OVUR THEE ENTERNET SED LEEBRAWN TO CLEEVELAND! SOORSEZ SED LEEBRAWN WUHZ INFOURMING RILEE UHV HIZ INTENSHUNS TO LEEVE FOUR CLEEVELAND! Can you confirm or deny?
Sorry Daryl, Dwight is too much of a goof ball for me to join your Houston Rockets to play with Christoph Finch. - Luis Dengus.
This seems like the most obvious scenario. Although I would say it would happen in the offseason, and it would involve either Love or Rondo. No chance either player is going to come off the bench. And no chance of them starting together. The Rockets like their small ball, but not for the whole game.
I have to believe that this is Deng as a 3/4, in addition to bringing back parsons. Deng fits in the salary slot that Lin leaves. Deng is a plus defender/rebounder and could work in our smallball lineup. I'm ok with that, so long as other moves come with it. This is the plan to build up the roster without a third star. If we can pick up a backup big plus Deng, I'm good.
I can see it now, Morey rolling in saying "Hey Luol, how would you like to be a bench player for the Rockets?"
I think there should be a list of people that weren't contacted by Morey. List would Andrew Bynum, Greg Oden, and Raymond Felton. Probably put out feelers for Bynum and Oden though.
Morey will just go right down his list of available players and try to snag one to add another asset to the team. Have to take advantage of the cap space now. Trades can happen later.

Smart Morey because bosh isn't leavingi can't believe how gullible people are when the media post anything
@sam_amick While Houston Rockets wait for a decision from Chris Bosh on max offer, I'm told they reached out to Luol Deng's camp again today. --- cybersex is this you ?
Yup. Either this or Les is a little worried about paying that crazy lux tax bill (but Deng wouldn't be THAT much lower).
