Hell no, Dmo's potential vs the upgrade that you get from dunlevey over Garcia/cassipi , I would side with DMo every day of the week, this is if coarse assumes mchale is thinking long term and not all in (which I don't blame him after the whole yao/tmac disaster)

I'd rather give up a 2014 first round pick. The 2014 is supposed to be top heavy only.

If the Rockets deal for Ilyasova maybe they can pry away another contract the Bulls would be interested in receiving.

Again it wouldn't take that, if we really were going to give up a 1st this year then we could get much more than dunlevely

Lol I would not give up a first rounder for Dunleavy, but yeah I agree I would not trade DMo for him either.

Problem is we have no assets to get Dunleavy, why should the Bulls have interest in Smith,Brewer,Garcia and Trashpi?

    Maybe Covington?

Bulls could have a real go at cassipi + brewer maybe a potenital 2nd perhaps the 2015 denvor/wolves worst one, would get it across the line.

Moving dunlevey also gets them completey out of any trouble with the luxury tax since right now if tak Gibson makes the 2nd team defensive he is entitled to 250k extra which could put the bulls over the top of the lux line which would be the worst thing in the world.

I think they move dunlevey to play it safe with the luxury tax

No way. I don't want him anyway, while his 3 point shooting is good, his D really sucks.

If the Bulls want to dump him, fine.

But not if they're playing this hardball crap. Dunleavy is useful, but he's just another body out there. Good at a lot of things - great at nothing.

his defense really isn't as bad as everyone thinks. He no lock down defender, but he's no completely useless defensively.

He's a Luis Scola. What they lack in defensive ability they compensate for in instincts and knowing how to be in the right spaces at the right time.

Not me. Silly thing to do. Short term gain which won't get us far, for a long term big who can get better as a role player off the bench.

McHale was the one who told Morey to draft Royce White. Will NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER trust McHale's judgment again.
