Yep, he has been flirting with hitting a 30% DREB% in every season since he's been with the Cavs, which is one of the best rates in the league (including for centers). In 22 games last season he actually had a MONSTER 40% which is crazy. It's the small sample size making it so high obviously but he's certainly showing no sign of declining on the boards.

I highly doubt we make a move for Love, but we had a historically awful defensive rebounding team last year and it never improved all season, and cost us greatly against the Warriors. Signing Love would immediately fix that.

Just a reminder we hold Nene's bird's rights just like we hold Shump's. We could sign Nene for as much as 4.38 million yr 1 salary with next 2 years non guaranteed and aggregate that salary with other salaries. I think Capela, Nene, Deyonte, Chiozza, and Frazier would work in this type scenario. We may have to throw in harty instead of frazier to fend off the blazers.

Having nene's bird's rights with the ability to sign and trade him could come in quite handy in multiple possible deals. We'r could probably even deal him individually in a Snt for Langston Galloway and a small asset like Svi. Or even merge nene with chiozza partially guaranteed to okc for roberson.

Don't be surprised if we use Nene in a SnT. The "favor" he is doing us is allowing us to pay him a little more money than an opt in would have gotten him so we can trade him for a larger expiring salary.

If we combine Nene, Shump and all the NGs how much money could we acquire back in a trade?

Bballholic is saying that we’d SnT Nene. Nene has been here long enough that we have his bird rights and can sign and trade him for up to $4.5 MM (before BYC comes into play)

We can't re-sign Nene and trade him somewhere if he intends on retiring.

Going purely by stats, there are likely many more nba players with mental health issues than have disclosed. Not all talk about it as openly as Love or Derozan has though.

    Here's the deal.

    1. Nene could be signed for up to 4.38 (120%) million and traded.

Shump could be signed for up to 13.2 million (120%) and be traded.

We have 5 non guaranteed deals that could be guaranteed/ partially guaranteed and traded. Deyonte at up to 1.6 million. And the other 4 guys at up to $1.4 minion each.

The possibilities are endless. Because we are effectively out of the tax right now. So the 175% rule could be applied, the + $5 million rule could be applied, and the 125% rule could be applied.

All of shump nene and the 5 minimums all packaged up with everybody guaranteed and Shump and nene at 120% comes out to somewhere around $24 million. So packaged that way they could bring back a little over $30 million.

And i suppose if you wanted to consider a KLove trade under those parameters with a bunch of pucks thrown in...... you could. 4 picks plus harty and Clark and expirings. Then you've got capela and ego and possibly one non- guaranteed left over for another premier player acquisition......Hayward maybe....

Or better yet Smart youngsters plus an additional 20-23 million from another team (okc) to get them out of the tax and collect a pick.......

Bump. Just keeping this on the radar. Possibly added to the Westbrook trade?

You don't get Love without giving up PJ, EG or Clint and I'm not getting rid of any of them for Love

Only way we get Love is if Russ burns in flames and Dan Gilbert is considering the show. I like KLove but we aren't moving PJ/EG or Clint for him at this point. My biggest worry right now is defense, Love doesn't help that and those required to get him are too valuable on defense (yes, even EG).

What assets? We have no young pieces and I don't consider anything Cleveland has as an asset. They damn sure are not trading 1st round picks for Adam's because they will all.be lottery picks because Cleveland sucks.

If he comes wanting a ring yes. If he wants a bloated contract he can get lost.
