If it’s considered a “benefit” then why would you have both teams do it. The point is hca no longer exists so they’re just thinking of theoretical “advantages” for the higher seed. It defeats the purpose of having it in the first place if both teams get it. Even though in the end these little details are essentially meaningless. The playing field is already even on the actual court and no travel days for both sides.

but the higher seed doesn't get 7 home games in a series. theoretically you only truly benefit from homecourt advantage in a full 7 game series because the other team never gets another home game to even it up (you could argue you get a mental advantage from usually getting out to a lead in the series). giving a team one of these advantages in every game seems like a large advantage for something that isn't supposed to be that big of an advantage.

they don't but an extra coaches challenge compared to actual hca with fans is two completely different benefits. not remotely close to the other. if anything, it would be for games 1,2,5,7* but if it ended being for all 7 games it still wouldn't impact the game much if at all in the end to me anyways. not once has this challenge proved to be a deciding factor for a game ever since it was introduced. in fact you can say it can negatively impact it in many cases. it slows down the game and disrupts rhythm. gives other teams a free timeout and a chance to regroup with actual stoppage of play for several minutes

3 out of 8 times is not GOAT level. Great, yes!

    Not GOAT.

    You are easily impressed.

I don’t expect the NBA to sit any star player out if they have COVID-19. Too much money would be lost.

Lmao, what? You said he doesn't dominate in big games which is patently false. Moving goal posts again. Now you’re just proving that he’s always in it.

Sure I’m easily impressed by a guy that’s universally in the conversation as the greatest player of all time. Your denial is massive.

Are the Buffalo Bill's the GOAT because they went to a still unprecedented 4 straight SB's????

They are a great team no doubt, but certainly not the GOAT.

That you are unable to digest this distinction is the definition of purposeful ignorance.

Sorry if this is already asked and explained, but if the current #7 seed goes 0-8, are they still the #7 seed or are they able to drop out of the playoffs? Or is this 2 brackets: 1-7 only for seeding purposes and 8+ fighting to make it?

From a gambling perspective, the playoff bubble teams may be an interesting bet for the early games against guaranteed teams.

The seeding remains the same way it would be in a normal season. If Dallas happens to go 0-8 and other teams below them win enough games to gain ground then so be it. Nobody is locked into their seeding outside of pretty much the lakers and bucks. Unless you also see them going 0-8. The seedings will shuffle in the 8 game span when it’s all said and done.

the “guaranteed teams” will want to win games just as much as the bubble teams when seeding and matchups come into play. And in a limited 8 games that magnifies each game with even more importance. One of the great things about not having the 8 teams that have no intention of winning games at this time of year in Orlando

Yea how he dominated Jason Terry man seriously biggest game and he couldn’t even contain him. And you’re forgetting Kyrie saved him against the warriors. He might have had or avg that but without Kyrie they didn’t win. Oh yea you forget who made the basket too against the spurs. Pretty sure Lebron brink it. If it wasn’t because of velociraptor Chris Bosh got the rebound and passed it to Ray Allen instead of the open Lebron. They wouldn’t have won that championship either. Bosh was like nop I’m not passing it back to you. And what about quitting on his team when the whole Jr debacle happened. They went to overtime but crymeariver James quit on his team.
Such a great player surely but not the greatest. Also why does he always have to make every single thing about him. Calling himself the goat and the greatest. Every time he comments on twitter or social Networks about anything like the last dance, the honk Kong protest, BLM And other things he has to talk about himself. Egocentric much.

also if he wanted to be the greatest he shouldn’t have run to different teams chasing rings and firing coaches as he went to those teams. Only reason Erick didn’t get fired was because of Pat Riley. He wasn’t giving into lebron’s demand or influence. Not ones not twice but trice ? 4 times switching back teams but since he went to Cleveland against I guess u could say three times.
Also if you wanna be the goat you gotta separate yourself from your idol or your inspiration. If you want to get off the shadow of you idol don’t stay or walk on his shadow. Why does he have to do another space jam? Or wear number 23, or call himself “king” James, the goat. He is so phony. He Is a great player but kinda fake or tries too hard. Idk at least Kobe didn’t cared what anyone thought of him. He knew he was the goat in his eyes but never went and called himself the goat.

Dude. Wow. No the Buffalo Bills aren’t the greatest team of all time. They were mighty impressive though. A truly great team for sure.

But let me break down a massive difference between the Bills and Lebron James because it’s gone over your head. Ready? Lebron James has 3 championships.

This 8 games are to get the teams ready for playoffs. Basically a 72 game season, The playoffs are already mark in stone, because if you look at the standings, You would think all Dallas would have to do is win 1 game to clinch the 7th seed. There is no way Washington or Charlotte gonna win out, and Orlando and Nets lose out, there just 2 better than that.

I think rockets wil finish 44-28, tied with 5th seed. Maybe a possible no home court verses Utah, could be over for utah in 4 games with no home crowd advantage with it being in Orlando tbh. lol

rockets 3-0 in first round with easy domination round in 1st my prediction, and play the Lakers in 7 game match where we might go home.

The NBA has found a way to exile Dolan and the Knicks for 4 months.

Charlotte isn’t even gonna be in Orlando and all rounds are 7 games series. The seedings are far from marked in stone
