I just don't see how, for what GSW needs, Dwight is a trade up over Bogut.

Iggy and Bogut are excellent players, are you kidding me?

Why would Golden State do a sign and trade if they could just sign him when he opts out?

Dwight is not as good as Bogut at setting illegal screens (Dwight makes it too obvious) or passing.

    Hope this happens, lol.

Because they still want more cap space to go after Durant or another big name player.

I take it for granted that Howard walks and have done so for months. Why would he stay? He won't even get the most $ here since we are not willing to pay him the max and not likely we will be a legitimate championship contender next year anyway.

Imo if the Warriors wanted to trade Iggy and Bogut there will be many teams that would be willing to give up some assets to get them.

Well, I think a game-end video from a Rockets' loss to the Warriors shows Ariza and Luke Walton talking and Walton saying, "I'll see what we can do." This was before Walton was hired to coach the Lakers, but still.

They can't just sign him. Not to a contract of value.

I'd trade him to the Warriors for Bogut + Iggy in a heart beat.

Beverley/Harden/Iggy/Durant/Bogut is an incredibly diverse starting 5 and would be a perfectly balanced team. I don't think three superstar scorers are necessary and Iggy and Bogut are SUPERSTAR Role Players who are fine playing a role. I think GSW would be insane to swap those two for Dwight.

Durant would have to sign here with the rockets to have a diverse lineup like you say and that's a low probability.

Poor refs would be in a state of perpetual confusion:

    * Have to overlook moving screens, stray elbows and vocal complaining because he's a Warrior.

    * Must call even the slightest hint of a foul because he's Dwight Howard.

If you could nab Iguodala, thats a great move.

Why would Durant come here if he could just sign with Golden State instead?

Warriors should just trade Bogut to a team with projected cap space and let Barnes and Ezeli walk. Why lose Iggy?

I do not believe this one bit lol If im GS I have a championship level team. Why would I alter it significantly by adding Howard? GS has a good mix of vets and youth, they certainly dont need his vet presence.

If im Howard I mean I love the chance at getting a ring but hes gonna have to take a pay cut to do it. They wont pay him a max and I doubt theyd give him the 23 mill he would get by opting in. He doesn't like to set screens and thats going to be the biggest contribution he could offer?

Dwight heading to GS when he came to Houston was a much different scenario. Now hes 3 years older and GS went from a middle of the pack team to the top.

This just doesnt make any sense at all.

Edit: Clarify- hes not opting in, but if it was about money he could have to get more...

Bye Dwight!!! Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you. This would be great for us. It would be addition by subtraction for us and it will bring the Warriors down quickly. Get er done Morey!!!!
