If GS is going to use cap space to sign Dwight, that means no KD chase for them. Even if they can dump salaries and clear space to sign both, Dwight would have to take a huge paycut. Plus, does KD even want to play with someone he called a p****? So I would take this as good news all around.
Good, he'll finally get to post up more...oh wait. Poor Dwert - no matter where he goes, he's not going to be the focal point of the offense. He's going to be asked to run PnR, play defense, block shots and grab rebounds. Just like here.
If Dwight continues to be Dwight then this is great news for us. I don't see how this works at all actually, he's not half the passer Bogut is and will only slow up what they want to do. Oh and his screens and picks are terrible.
this can't be real, right? cyberx hasn't let me down yet though. hmm if true, that's really interesting
This makes almost zero sense in all aspects. He'd NO touches on this team and certainly would get no minutes in the 4th because of hacking and for gsw to go small ball. I don't see how Howard could be happy in this situation, he'd destroy that locker room.
I don't doubt that both Dwight's people are VERY interested, and I don't doubt that the Warriors will kick the tires at the possibility.... .... That being said.... I'll be shocked if the Warriors gamble with their chemistry in a move this extreme. We are talking about a minor upgrade if any on the defensive end (Dwight doesn't switch D... only wants to sit back in the D and go for blocks/rebounds), and a negative move on the offensive end (creates a problem with his free throws, and you have to play him over your death lineup). And I'm not even talking about the off the court chemistry issues Dwight brings to the table. Deserved or not, drama has always followed Dwight. The Warriors aren't the desperate type of team that needs to take a chance on Dwight at this stage. If they keep their team together for another 3 years they should AT LEAST make the WCF every year if not win another title or two. I would think that the Warriors will look to replace and upgrade Harrison Barnes first and foremost. Adding a vet big to their rotation should be priority #2, but Dwight hardly constitutes as a "vet rotation big". I'll believe its a serious discussion when Woj reports it. Thanks for the info Cyber, but I need to see more smoke here to assume there is a fire.
good option for a sign and trade. we get both Harrison barnes and Fetus... i can see that happening or maybe get Livingston/barnes and barbosa...Id be in for it.
