    Yep, cause if i'm not wrong the 31 October was the last day to extend rookie scale contracts...? So, assuming this is correct, i don't know if for other contracts there's a different deadline...

    @BimaThug @heypartner ?

    Are you asking about Veteran Extensions?

    http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q60
    Veteran extensions:
    Extensions to contracts that are not rookie scale contracts (i.e., veteran extensions) may be signed up to June 30, the day before the player would have become a free agent.

    I agree that he has toned down from his "happy trader" image a few years ago. Shane Battier is as professional as you can get in a player. Even he voiced out that the constant trade prospects/rumors surrounding the Rockets was a distraction for the players to concentrate on playing basketball.

    If we can trade basketballholic to the Jazz message board when DMO goes, count me in as a huge fan of this. I never did C the Yule.

    Sorry dude. EDIT. Totally read you wrong as saying if the ROCKETS really wanted him when you obviously meant the Jazz.

    I hope the Jazz make him a real offer sheet to sign like after tonight, so that we can know what it is and either match it or not. I don't care either way anymore, but I just want something to happen one way or another.

    How can ANYONE that is a ROCKETS fan, not care?

    We could use his post game and skillset - don't go all EMO about a business contract negotiation.

    Just care about what makes the team better, if you feel him leaving for nothing makes us better, then sure, but if you think he might help with our depth than you should want him here.

    I don't care partly because of what you said. DMo has potential, but he is still unproven in health and consistency. We also don't know if he will be a chemistry killer if he is brought back at any contact, because he may want starter minutes, and may earn/deserve them or NOT. But while I want him on the team for his "potential", I don't want him on the team on a bad contract or as a malcontent; hence why I don't care and will just leave it up to the Rockets, as if I had any other choice anyway. lol So if we let him walk because of a bad contract or because we think he will kill our chemistry, I will accept that lost. Morey did try to trade him last year, so it won't be his fault totally if we lose him for nothing.

    Honestly if Morey doesn't match DMo fits in with that team and the style they play.....good team defender, good passer, moves off the ball - he could be on a worse team.

    I hope the Rox match, but if not, he will thrive there.

    Dmo would do well with the Jazz but I wonder if he'd actually like living in Utah though. I understand beggars can't be picky but they'd have offer to me an insane amount to sign a contract to live there.
