we really suck at drafting.. We screwed up a number one pick. And we lost more than half of the guys from last years draft. WTF is going up there.

Um......no, he doesn't. Foster plays hurt. He is not a Diva. He WANTS to play if hurt. He produces...too.

The Texans fanbase is just embarrassing sometimes....most of the time.

Do we really want him rushing back before he's 100%? What's more important, Clowney playing on Monday, or Clowney not getting re-injured by rushing back too soon?

I have no beef whatsoever with him wanting to be %100. My problem comes if the coaches believe he's slacking or putting off playing just because. He really doesn't come off as a diva and i believe JJ would call that out immediately. In the end if i had to guess this will be forgotten once on the field. The bust talks are definitely premature.

maybe he just wants to wait until the next home game so dudes like you can blame the turf again if he injures himself.

I'm not a doctor. But if there's any possibility of re-injury by coming back early, I'd prefer he sits out. If it's just a matter of playing through some pain without long term risks, obviously he should play.

I would generally side with coaches in sports, but when it comes to football and playing injured, I'm much more suspicious of coaches' motivations. After all, it's easier for them to talk about "tough it" out and "do it for the team" when they're not the ones getting into car crashes on Sundays.

It's a torn meniscus. His current timeline for returning is NORMAL.

    4-6 weeks.

    Monday will be 6+ weeks.

If he does not play, it's no longer "NORMAL".

team doctors decide when a player can return without risking further injury.

my feeling is clowney has been cleared to play but he does not feel 100% (probably sore) and is holding himself out.

that generally does not bode well in the nfl, especially from a rookie.

waiting to see Clowney on the field is now becoming almost as comical as the paging Cyberx thread...Jason's tweet is legit. Sucks, but it is what it is... Heart+potential>>>>>>Heart>>>>potential.

Also..Houston did not fck this pick up...he was the best player in this draft by miles...but its on him to shed his poor image, and to go out and perform....the NFL will keep moving forward/so will the Texans...A DIVA status with BOB staff is kinda hard to attain...so i guess the adage, where there is smoke, there is fire...is quite true.

jclowney is cj2k, a guy with a bunch of talent that rests on his laurels. Last year should have been a huge red flag that he was just after the money and football (as a team sport that you play to help teammates and win) were not the priority and never will be.
