No it hasn't happened many times no NBA player has renegotiated a contract to give salary relief.

Dirk has never done it before either.

If he gets to the ECF I think it is a long shot.

Other than that, at least within the realm of being possible.

    Wishful thinking.

Even if re-structuring is possible, I doubt more than a few players have done it. Really doubtful.

Nope. And the NBAPA President certainly isn’t going to be the one to try to do it. Sets a bad precedent. Pretty sure the Rockets can’t sign and trade for JB either because of BYC. It would be damn near impossible to find a deal that works for both teams salary wise.

I think we'll get him when he is 34 or 35. Eventually.

Yeah, that's the thing. It's like the character in "Predator" who just took the heavy swinging log to the ribs ("I can make it! I can make it!") You know he's a goner anyway because his name isn't Schwarzenegger.

These things usually get real complicated and fall apart.

I typed it and then tried to edit it even before I saw it. Should be "feels fairly confident" If @Clutch Can change the title that would be appreciated!

With all this talk, Tucker, Gordon, and maybe, Capella. It will sink any chance of beating Warriors. This team moral will be in the sewer , for this season

If Butler is going to walk anyway, then Shumpert/Gordon/Tucker is a pretty good package to have them fast tracked back into contention built around Embiid/Harris/Simmons. Gordon's contract expires just in time for Simmons 's extension to kick in too.

Morey better have assurances from DeAndre Jordan for the vet minimum if he's going to include Clint in a Butler trade. I really can't see Morey trading Clint for Butler unless we already knows how to replace Clint.

So Clint has to play backup to Embiid - not in his cards.

Wrote this earlier today. Would require a few things breaking our way (Philly flames out, Butler is unhappy with touches, Tillman signing up for a big luxury tax bill), but it's a fun discussion topic nonetheless.

Yea I can't see how it works from the Sixers' POV either but *shrug*.

I think it ends up being Gordon, Nene and a few firsts to Philly for Butler after he opts into that last year of his current contract. But everything would have to break right from here on out for that to occur. #increasingriskprofile #newmath
