This doesn't bother me though. Some people are trying to say "the NBA has changed" and that these guys have no competitive fire anymore...but I think this is business as usual. Have you seen Vince Carter's numbers this season? This is only a half step above T-Mac's human victory cigar tour with San Antonio.
Randolph has better numbers, but he's in his late 30's, playing for a team he has no history with...this is the classic buyout signing we've seen for decades. Given his style of play though, not sure if he moves the needle much for Warriors, barring injury. The dude is old enough I'd say he's earned the right to ring chase if he wants.

The only thing I'd say is it seemed like in the past buyout candidates would consider more teams. Now it seems like they go for either team lebron, team steph, and every other team is someone's second choice (yeah, even Houston, but maybe not as bad as the other teams).

Now, if Brooke Lopez came into play as CyberX suggests, that's different. That's a gamechanger. I'd be ecstatic if he become a Rocket, pissed if he went to Cavs, and livid if he went to Warriors (isn't he from that area?).

 

West has such a history of causing us headaches it may be to our advantage if Randolph took his place in the rotation.
