Did the other team that won 19 games or more before us (Lakers-Bucks-Lakers), have home court advantage throughout the playoff? What was the difference between between their records and the next closest (in conference and league)? How many hall of famers on those teams? Can we win it all without home court?
Yes. 70-71 Bucks: 66 wins, 51/52 71-72 Lakers: 69 wins, 63/63 99-00 Lakers: 67 wins, 55/56 70-71 Bucks: Kareem and Oscar 71-72 Lakers: Wilt, West, Goodrich 99-00: Shaq?, Kobe? It's been done before.
We will make the playoffs. Rockets would have to lay down and David Stern wants the exposure and the hype of the Rockets in the mix with this winning streak.
Thanks durvasa. It makes me uncomfortable to see how tight the West is. A couple of loses and one can fall from 1st to 5th or 6th. We can solve this problem by just winning out.
only 34 more wins to run the table and win the championship. though i'll settle for 16 wins after april 11th.
very hopeful about the playoffs but i'm waiting until they put that little 'x-Clinched Playoff Berth' by our name in the standings ...
We are a unique situation then, and with more to come this team will be remembered and remembered dearly by those who followed.
