I'm curious how many of the posters saying "SNL sucks now and isn't funny anymore" actually watch the show regularly. I don't personally watch, but I know people have literally been saying that for the last 30 years.
haha its funny. people have gone overboard with this political correctness. gay this. black that. geez.
I thought it was worth a giggle. The joke isn't ISIS. The joke is those stupid, sentimental car ads, so they took the stupid to 11 and dropped the mic. That's a standard comedy strategy, especially on SNL. Hitler was in lots and lots of comedy sketches, for what it's worth, and he still is today, in all those subtitled videos. I mean, if that dude can be used for comedy...
We live in a different time apparently. The results are we can't say anything without backlash from people. People are so freaking sensitive and you can't say anything anymore, which is quite sad. It's a joke, satire. Who gives a fukk???
It was hilarious. #1 it was totally out of the blue unpredictable #2 it was entirely topical #3 the props and costumes were excellent
The people who don't find this funny must have a problem with it...perhaps subconsciously. As B-Bob mentioned it's a satire of this commercial, and as Dubious mentioned the punchline is completely unexpected and is executed perfectly.
What I really meant was: I hate how random nobodies being faux-outraged on Twitter qualifies as a news story. It's a daily thing. Something innocuous happens, losers get upset and tweet about it, some large news organization picks it up and then they all do. Suddenly, it's everywhere and it's all because some pansy POS on Twitter tweeted pretend anger while eating his SpaghettiOs at his mom's house. Anyway, my "get off my lawn" rant aside, I just now watched the skit and the commercial it was based off of. I thought it was pretty good, and not any more offensive than most comedic skits and shows on TV.
SNL has no limits. It's either funny or not funny. If you find it offensive, you're watching the wrong show. Try The Voice.
