    You are right.
"kan yin shui ji de"means the player who can't play and sit on the bench.

HAHA,Tracy is special case ,as we all know he was spuerstar 2 years ago , his ability is more than COOK and Dorsey , kan yin shui ji de means the last substitute or last rotation players.

There are lots of T-mac fans in China, they can't afford to call T-mac “kan yin shui ji de” ,they deem that is humiliator for him

"The man who guard drinking machine" is hilarious! As is Movie King for Scola and "Great Wild Chicken" for Landry. I'm sold on these though I think that 4 carat and god bird probably have more legs.

    Great thread.

I love this thread. Did Francis have a nickname? What about Garnett or Dwight; I'm sure those would be funny.

I remember a displeased Chinese poster calling Brooks a little black bean in the game thread last season. I took it to have a racist connotation based on the way he said it. Is it supposed to be considered complimentary? It certainly doesn't sound like it.

Edit: In fact, a quick search turned up that post (it was the guy's only post on CFs): http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=4289518&postcount=273

Let me add some nick names for other super stars:

    LBJ
    1. Emperor. This is a direct translation of King James.
    2. Old Bei Jing. "L" is the first letter of chinese word "old", and "Bei Jing" is capital of China. Calling somebody old Bei Jing in China is similar to calling someone New Yorker in US. BTW: KFC in China once sold "Old Bei Jing chicken wrap".
    3. 4-step man. He takes 4 steps to make a layup.

    Kobe
    1. God or Mighty God.
    2. Scumbag K. This one is a combination of several sources - playing some crappy games despite being God, was an rapist, etc.

    D Howard
    1. Orc. His dunks and blocks give him this nickname. And WoW is super popular in China.

    Barkley
    1. Bar God. Every time he says something bad about Yao or Rockets, it will become a bless. Thus Chinese fans pray to him before each Rockets' game: "Please, please, say something bad."

Not racist, not intentionally, at least. It's just that AB is small and black. Anyone who is darker is liable to have something "black" has his nickname.

For example, China's pro teams are typicall allowed to have 2 foreign players. Often, the two guys are both African Americans, with one interior player and one perimeter player. I remember reading quotes from Chinese coaches praising the effort of their American players, but instead of referring to them by their actual name, the Americans were referred to as "Big Black" and "Little Black." I don't think they mean any harm, but it's kind of racist sounding. Folks in China, as you might imagine, are not exactly all that sensitive about the things we in the U.S. are sensitiv about.
