Video footage showed a blazing vehicle. There are no details of casualties. The Prophet's Mosque is the burial place of the Prophet Muhammad and Medina the second-holiest city in Islam after Mecca. Earlier, at least one explosion rocked the eastern city of Qatif, where many minority Shia Muslims live. A suspected suicide bomber also died after detonating a device near the US consulate in the city of Jeddah. The social media footage from Medina showed a vehicle on fire in what appeared to be a car park, with two security officers lying nearby.

OP, not sure I understand your point. I don't keep a running body count, but seems like Shia Muslims are the #1 target of IS by very wide margin.

0 incident of ISIS attacks on Iran , countless cases every where else .but yes shiea anywhere else are among the targets but not exclusively . Isis don't discriminate apparently

Mecca may be more "important" and better known, but Medina is the heart and soul of the Muslim world. It is the site of the prophet's home and his final resting place. I don't know if there is a comparison to help you guys understand. This attack (during Ramadan!) is seriously disturbing and disconcerting. Make no mistake, this is an attack on Islam, not Saudi Arabia! How can there be any doubt now about what these monsters truly are? I'm sorry for my barrage of posts, this will be the last that I say regarding this.
I have never even heard of these dudes. Have they murdered scores of people in Bangladesh, Turkey, Brussels, Paris, Orlando, Baghdad and various other places in the world in the last few weeks and months? And do they control a large territory and call it their state? And does a not so insignificant percentage of Christians agree with their ideology and explicitly or tacitly support their goals? If yes, then they might be exactly the equivalent. Please provide some evidence. Thanks in advance.
Saudi Arabia created the crazy Wahhabism that has led to ISIS so it's appropriate that they're attacking Saudi Arabia. Maybe that'll teach them a lesson.
