So who's left and who can we get with our remaining midlevel?

Jamychal Green is just waiting for the Kawhi decision. I bet he goes back to the Clippers regardless what happens.

Same with the Morris twins. They’re just waiting on Kawhi. But they’re with Klutch, so they’re Lakers bound.

 

If Kawhi goes back to the raptors, we’re going to miss on Green and the Morris twins. Too much money between the LA teams.

 

We miss out on them even if Kawhi doesn’t go to the Raptors, and spoiler alert...he’s not returning to the Raptors.

 

I don't see how it makes a difference.

If he goes to the Clippers=They still have the money to give Green significantly more than we do
If he goes to the Lakers=Clippers will still keep Green and Morris could get more from Dallas

I think our only shot at either guy is probably Kawhi going to the Lakers really as that might shake Marcus Morris loose.

Scenario 1: Kawhi to Lakers
JaMychal Green re-signs with Clippers
Marcus Morris signs with Dallas OR the Clippers

Scenario 2: Kawhi to Clippers
JaMychal Green re-signs with Clippers
Marcus Morris signs with Lakers

Scenario 3: Kawhi stays in Toronto

No, they've said he will stay in Toronto if Kawhi does, otherwise he will go to Dallas.

 

Neither can I.

 

I just don't know enough about the guy. If he's trouble in the locker room, then I'd want to pass. He's also coming off a serious injury. He also is open about not playing defense. That's weird. If we're going to have a player who's sort of volatile, I'd rather get Cousins. At least he proved to be somewhat useful for Oakland in the playoffs, and he was recovering from two injuries then. Assuming he can avoid another (and he would take what we can offer), I think he would be worth the risk.

There are other players I'd rather have, but several have been snapped up. What are we waiting for?
