You can try again, and I am sure you will.

Just make sure you get your facts right next time when you want to be a smartass ("As if it wasn't obvious from your post for those curious, the answer is zero."). It's okay to be wrong, but it's embarrassing when you tried to be condescending and then turned out to be wrong.

Therefore, I do understand that you are a little bitter now.

I'm not bitter. I'm wrong often. I'm right often.

I was definitely wrong here. Not that it matters much, to the topic at hand. Shane Battier is no defensive hall of famer or anything.

Moreover, I didn't start being a smartass in this thread util you started being a d******d. Rather, I noted that pgabs was asking a seeming rhetorical question, to which I provided the answer. You took it as a smartass reply because it was refuting a position you were pushing, and I was wrong, wrong, wrong. But you were a d******d about your further response. To which you again have yet to show how I am "quite often completely wrong" (despite my noting that I've been wrong before... and very recent wrongness associated with the trading for Thabeet, to which I immediately manned up...).

So...yeah, I'm guessing there are many on the board who've experienced this kind of communication with you previously. As this is my first... noted, ATW tends to be a d******d.

Since you bring up the Lakers, you might want to see what Lakers fans think:

    http://www.clublakers.com/lakers-discussion/who-the-best-defender-kobe-bryant-t115429.html

Etc. etc. etc. etc., they almost unanimously agree. Keep in mind, these people are hardcore Lakers and Kobe fans, they have no reason to blindly support Battier, but they respect him a great deal.

And if you don't believe them, ask Kobe himself (15 second mark - he did not hesitate one second with his answer).

No, but you asked a question and got served. Now you are trying to change your question. In response to your second question, see this post.

Yes, I think we can agree on that. You tried to be a smartass, and I responded by being a d******d. I guess that makes it even and we can forget about it? I usually like your posts, actually :).

SJC, those quotes (along with the edited video) are from two years ago. Aren't we talking about today's Shane Battier giving help to today's Zach Randolph?

Yeah, Battier made Kobe "work so hard" for those 40 points he would drop on the Rockets while Bryant rested offensively due to Shane Battier's impotence on that end of the floor. In the playoffs Kobe was screaming at Battier and the announcers that "he can't *****ing guard me" and got T'ed up for it. Kobe was just being PC in that interview, I can pull up an interview he did with Artest where he essentially said that he can do whatever he want on the offensive end and nobody can guard him.

Anyways, this thread is about ZACH RANDOLPH. Stop derailing it with your weak posts. If you want to worship Battier, go create another thread for that. I know of at least a few other posters who will join you in worship. There is a thread chronicling his play with the Memphis Grizzlies, you can post there or you can go post on a Memphis Grizzlies message board. Again, stop derailing this thread.

    Okay.

Zach is the star player on the team, the one who gets the stats, not disputed. But as I said, Shane is a great supporting player. Coach Hollins seems to agree. This is as current as it gets (last game).

    Listen to Coach Hollins:

Z-Bo dominates Blake Griffin with 30 and 12 while holding Griffin to 8 and 9 as Randolph leads the Griz to a blowout win over LA.

You cannot ignore him any longer. Give him the respect that he deserves or he's going to take it by force.

Don't know how he does it (much like Kevin Love, etc.)

Doesn't seem athletic, but he just gets things done. Hard work overcomes all.

Props to Z-Bo. The three was just...damn. This is the kind of game the Spurs usually wins. Those Grizz don't look afraid at all, I can see them winning the series.

    Our team has heart.

People say that the grizzlies are young. But what's overlooked is that ZBO is a veteran, and hungry, TA is a veteran and hungry, Marc Gasol has a lot of experience in playoff type atmosphere with the Spanish national team, and Battier as well as the heart of a champion. Our core isn't that inexperienced and we are on a mission.

I really wish you would stop coming into threads and doing stupid stuff like this. This has nothing to do with the way a person acts, behaves, or speaks, and it has nothing to do with race, ethnicity, style, class, etc... You seem to think that you're so enlightened with your psuedo-intellectual rants, but they're just dumb. This is about Zach Randolph finally getting the respect that he deserves.
