That's really not lowering the threshold.....the exact definition of terrorism is "the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims." If those who are rioting are doing so in order to intimidate the public into making political changes....that's terrorism. If you support that, you support terrorism. Have the courage of your convictions and just admit that you are a fan of terrorism when you agree with the aims of it. It's not a big deal, I doubt anyone could think less of you.

I love it when libtards put words in people's mouths. I just explained it to you. Shall I copy and paste again? OK then...

Nope, just give criminals what they deserve. Why is that so hard to understand?

Let me clarify, since you don't appear to understand how this works: Criminals caught in the act of committing violent crimes are subject to the use of force along a UoF spectrum, ranging from physical restraint up to lethal force as the arresting officers deem necessary. If they are killed in the axct of committing such crime, the officers are placed on leave and the incident investigated. If they are detained and placed under arrest, they may be charged with a crime. That charge will be adjudicated in the courts, and they will be issued a punishment if found guilty of the charge. This may lead to incarceration, fines, or a variety of other punishments.

This is exactly how I think things should proceed. This is how it is designed to proceed. Nothing new here.

We won't see death squads or concentration camps (full of white republicans, likely) until you guys get your "justice", topple the current government, and put into place your socialist utopian dictatorship that mandates equality of outcomes. Sorry, but that might be a bit farther away than you'd like. You know, these riots don't help "the cause" as much as you think...

What a nice nonresponse. Completely devoid of meaning. Touche.

So it's not about the payday? Tell that to Jesse and Al.

But of course, for a socialist Canadian who wouldn't get any of that money, I can see how humiliating the US would be more important.

You don't even live here. What qualifies you to give social commentary on the state of the union? Not much, I think.

And I'd just like to point out that I made the point last night that this is really about revenge. Revenge, and knocking the US down a peg or two.

    Thanks for confirming that, NS.

Treeman, your rudimentary understanding of crime, penology and the criminal justice system in general is laughably simplistic. You should go and search up on some topics on law's neutrality, and how law-making and changes in the CJS is constantly influenced by political and cultural forces for group's or individual's interests.

Not everyone is neutral before the law, and that's true for any country in the world not just the United States. Maybe you should read more academic research on the subject before condemning others for having a different view point that just "arrest, go to court, and punish".

also inb4 all criminal legal research is communist propaganda
inb4 you call me a socialist because I'm Canadian

Oh, so I'm incorrect in stating that a criminal caught in the act of committing a violent crime may be subject to the use of force, up to and including lethal force? And that they may also be arrested, tried, and convicted of that crime, with punishment resulting?

Really? Wow, I never knew that. Could you please explain how it works then? I'd really like to know, because I really thought the cops were justified in using force against criminals caught in the act. And I was under the apparently mistaken impression that those criminals could be tried for their crimes. Gee, I'm curious how much of this I got wrong... Enlighten me.

The picture quality on smartphones has really improved over the past couple of years. Should help law enforcement make a few arrests when the dust settles and the thugs are enjoying their new 4K TVs.
