tf are you talkin about. I shared my CL story, and then asked a question about other similar CL stories - which a few have shared.

I sold my bird cage and aquarium on CL like last decade ago. The buyers were nice.

Now I only read the stories people post about CL.

Having a set price on cl isn't always set in stone. People will still continue to give you offers, which is why set it at a higher price than what you really want for it.

So did he have to go get the extra money, or he was simply lying that he "only had $160?"

I had a guy agree on $700 for a Rolex... Had me drive out to meyerland (I live in league city) to just low ball me at $550.

Said **** that. Got in my car, and he magically jumped up to $650.

You negotiate before you meet, what kind of person doesn't know that? Sure there are circumstances when condition is considered but you still have a general idea before hand and you should be prepared to pay full price.

The majority of people suck, sadly.

I was part of an incident where we were going to the Tom Petty concert and had some people cancel on us so we tried to sell the flash seats (face value). A guy talked the SO to not transfer them but rather he wanted to meet at Toyota center and walk in together. Weird...and a bad idea granted, but he begged and pleaded so she agreed. Of course, we don't hear from him for an hour before the show and he finally texts that his friends got him tickets.

Can't be mad at that guy. Was just negotiating on the spot. Always good to see if someone will crack and lower their asking price.

Even if you've already agreed on the price? That's a lame thing to do IMO.

If it was set in stone then yeah. But, some people are suckers and would have buckled. Make up some BS once you see the product in person, etc. Guy was prepared to pay the full price, but was trying to make one last ditch effort to get it lower.

I've had great experiences on CL.

I've bought a 4wheeler, dirt bikes, Xbone, couch, desk, bed frames, bird cages etc.

I've also sold numerous things. I always try to negotiate before hand or if I feel the price is fair, pay asking price.

Question: What was the color and GB size of you iPhone 5, and how much did you get for it? Also, what did you charge for shipping and how much did eBay take in fees?

Thanks! I'm going to be looking to sell a used but mint condition iPhone 5, Space Grey 16gb soon. It's nearly flawless, due to it being a three month old free replacement from the Geek Squad and was kept in an Otter Box case.
