Wait. So you're saying the coaches don't get credit for Watt, Johnson, Cushing, Foster, Brown, Demeco? You must be new here. Welcome to ClutchFans.

2 weeks to go into the season and people(lance and his laughtrack) were like lolz kubes! they're not even going to make the playoffs. Now the experts they draft better. =/ not the case at all. Our defenses, after the miami game, was on par with the broncos. We just need to take a gamble on some misfits with some talent. I think Hal will be an outstanding FS, now we need to pair him up with kareem jackson as the next safety. Make a run at Janoris Jenkins. I know his attitude isn't the best and is flashy but he'd be worth the risk.

We have talent. It sucks one baldy made our d, which had an outstanding game, an after thought.

Yeah, The Broncos didn't have to dominate tough offenses like we did!

The juggernauts that are Jacksonville, Tennessee, The Luckless Colts once.

Actually Kubiak was not bad at drafting and finding fas like Foster. Those Texans teams were legit contenders a couple years. Brown, Brooks, DeAndre, Myers, Winston. Even Jacoby and Ben Tate had some really good years.

And it should actually be more impressive that he did better than the prior coach in Denver and Baltimore without "his guys"

That's bill O'Briens excuse right? Still waiting to get his QB?

If you you put it on him and compare with the rest of the league objectively, you would want to keep him as your GM.

Manning coming back from a broken neck or something. And we had Schaub, who at that point was still good.

bengals, jets and to some extent the bills after the 1st qtr, hal dropped that pick 6. we dominated the chief's offense in the playoffs, even just bad qb play on our part would have had that game tied all through out. The luck argument doesn't carry weight, colts were doing better without him.

people don't like admitting that we do have talent, just even average qb play. Not many divisions have more than 2 good teams in it. 2014, our division had 2 of them. Not our fault the colts don't invest in a o line. a division of raiders, san diego, chiefs isn't that much better. those are teams our defense can do outstanding against.

Believe it or not, the Broncos QB play was worse than the Texans this season... their defense was better.

The Texans defense showed flashes... but any defense that is capable of putting up clunkers like the Atlanta and Miami games is still going to be a serious work in progress (that will take more than one mid-season adjustment to fix).

The Texans 2015 defense was not as good as the 2011 defense, not to talk of the Broncos 2015 defense. They are on the right path and should be better in 2016. What we saw at the end of the season, especially with the pass rush, should get us excited about the upcoming season. I would like to see either Mercilus or Clowney learn how to play effectively on both sides or the Texans get a better option than John Simon. They gotta keep Demps but honestly he should be a backup not a starter. They don't have a good track record with FA safeties but I would love to see the Texans go after Weddle.

The Broncos were also one of the luckiest teams in the NFL.

Regular season they started like 9-0 or something but that consisted of some of the most unconvincing wins against poor competition ever. Had to go to OT to beat the Browns, for example.

Beat the Patriots at home in OT, but the Patriots were really hit hard with injuries.

In the Playoffs barely beat the Steelers with a hobbled Ben and no Antonio Brown.

Up until the Patriots game, the Broncos were lucky to be in the AFC Title game. Then the defense just caught fire and ran away with it.

They had the best defense in football this year; there's nothing lucky about that, especially when you consider they were good - but by no means exceptional - at turning opponents over (they actually finished -4 for the season). They held 11 of their 18 opponents under 20 points, including all 3 playoff games.

In my lifetime, their playoff run compares favorably to the '85 Bears, '86 Giants, '00 Ravens and '07 Giants in terms of defenses that carried mediocre (or worse) offenses to championships. The good news: those teams seldom repeat because one side can only compensate for so long; no unit is ever perfect, and certainly not over the course of multiple seasons.

I wonder if anybody is saying this about the Colts. Sure, they have Andrew Luck but Peyton has outplayed him. Two superbowl trips vs 1 Conf championship. Superbowl win this year vs missing the playoffs.

WHY DID THE COLTS LET PEYTON GO?

This is actually a legitimate point.

Luck could've been stashed on the bench like Rodgers or Palmer.
