Sometimes I wish we could have one on one candid conversation with the players whenever we have our gripes. Then you can get information straight from the source.

Until then, let's continue to get pissed over third party reports, opinions, biases and stuff that probably isn't true.

Mind manipulation at its finest, good job media.

Don't know much about thigh contusions because I have never had one. But, I do know that if Dwight went down with a season injury or was somehow magically teleported to another dimension, Asik would be suiting up for the Rockets in our next game.

LOL, the 2013'ers opinion saddled to a pissy attitude = less value than a bag full of dog crap to me.

We have a tweet from Feigen with information that is now about 10 days old stating that he saw swelling. OK, I will not argue that, I believe Feigen saw what he saw.

I do think it's pretty hard to argue against the idea that at least some of what we're seeing is recalcitrance on Asik's part. Even before his 12/02 injury he clearly did not give a crap and put very little effort into his game, and he appeared to simply be refusing to play for several games, especially after the TT experiment was canned. Sorry, but I am not buying that this injury is completely legit. It's not exactly a secret that fake injuries are a relatively common thing in the NBA.

If he comes back from his "injury" soon - very soon, hopefully - and plays with effort then all will be forgiven and forgotten. If his injury is real then again, we have bigger problems than an erroneous thread, and anyone who was around during the Yao era knows what I'm talking about, right '13er? But for now I am very concerned that this is going to have a negative impact on the team. It's impossible for a situation like this, in the midst of numerous other real injuries, doesn't take its toll on morale.

We NEED Asik to play, especially now. No games.

Same thing happened to me in college. Caught a knee dead center of my thigh, the swelling slowly moved down my leg and eventually could barely bend my knee. Turned into a six week injury

Asik didn't a miss a game in 3 years, and all of a sudden he's missing several games with various ailments. It is definitely suspicious, but if Feigen says he saw the leg is swelling than I guess I'll believe it.

Seriously, if asik says he's injured, then he's injured. I'm sure he'd rather play 12 mins a game then to rot on the bench.

If Feigan says he saw the knee and it was "very very large", then I don't see what there is to debate. I know a lot of people are upset with Asik, but I think he deserves to be given the benefit of the doubt at this point. I heard a couple of days ago that Asik went to see a specialist about the knee. It benefits him to be on the floor and playing if he wants to be traded, so I think the injury is legit.

He didn't want to play in November after he was pulled from the starting lineup. He refused to play for several games rather than come off the bench. Have we already forgotten that? I mean, I know it's difficult to remember things that happened more than a couple of days ago, but thankfully we have the internet now...

Like I said if Feigen said he saw swelling then I am not going to argue that. It is also 10 day old information. But given Asik's behavior this season, is it any wonder why some of us may be a tad bit suspicious?

I remember that was one game. Him pouting for one game does not mean he wants to sit for the rest of the season.

I bruised my rib 3 weeks ago, gave it rest, jogged last week and shot around and right after that it went back to hurting like before. Lay off the man, man.

this type of injury require at least a month of total rest to get better . saying better in the mean of no visible sign of injury and can easily walk. after that 3 month of non- intense activity and a lot of physical therapy .

the most common reason of this type of those injuries's trigger are lack of warming and stretching( well he been setting on the bench long.) and cold weather out- door activity

Is this thread a joke? Must be. No sane individual would stand in the way of the flood of evidence that Asik is indeed injured. Brilliant satire OP!

If Asik doesn't tweet a picture of his knee every day, to me he is faking. In fact, I think he convinced Greg Smith and Patrick Beverley to fake their junk too. What a cancer...
