Well I can only really compare him to Fortson as to how they both play with this current squad, but IMO he blows Fortson out of the water, which isn't necessarily saying much. But you can tell Machado has a fairly high IQ and the ball actually moves around in the half-court with him running the point. He has a good first step and has the vision to find a bail-out man if he gets caught in the lane. Granted he didn't look very good last night in the grand scheme of things.

Our team's spacing and decision making as a whole was just so terrible, it was impossible to tell if anyone on the team was NBA worthy last night. I'm not sure we were attempting to run any offensive plays. Literally most of the game was Fortson dribbling within a 5 foot radius, passing left, getting it back, passing right, turnover, fast-break points for the opponent. If Fortson (or Machado) did pass, there was hardly ever a second pass and usually a fade-away jumper or inability to finish at the rim. Anyway I guess now I'm just ranting. But it's hard to rate anyone based on how terrible that game was.

given our PG uncertainty, I think it'll be smart for the Rocket to sign this kid to a dirt cheap contract. Not sure why we have Fortson over this kid on our roster.

He cant shoot or score, but thats why we have Lin and this kid is a very good playmaker. I like him and Lin working together. Very good signing.

You have not watched more than 1 Knick or Lin game, if that, so you should stop putting your ignorance up on display like you've been doing. Didn't your moms ever teach you not to talk if you don't know what the duck you're talking about? You're looking like a fool.

Novak was doing squat his whole stint in NY prior to Lin's emergence, and only became "discovered" after Lin showed up (but of course you knew him to be the league leadin' sharp shooter that he was the whole time, right? Right~) And btw, the LACK of schemes designed for Novak last year was pretty much lamented by every Knicks fan in every forum all throughout last year! Thats like saying KMART had his best season last year or that Lowry had a good year because of the rapport him and Mchale built up last year. Yeah, it sounds that ignorant to the rest of us.
In addition, the turn around of Jeffries last year was also striking, to say the least. At the beginning of the year, he was being booed nearly every game; near the end of the season, he was considered a valuable player and respected by pretty much all NYK fans. Tyson's scoring also coincidentally picked up after Lin's arrival and the TEAM themselves also REMARKABLY turned their horrific record around at the same time, by chance. It's even more weird that the same thing happened in Lin's high school where when he took over the team, their record dramatically increased to 32-1 and they won the State championship and in college where when Lin took over, the entire program completely and radically turned its ship around into respectability.
Finally, if you can't see Lin's "clutch" gene on display in every stat, game, highlight, you have no business in a basketball forum. Jeez, even SAS admitted Lin's clutchness. 4th quarter PER shows it. His gameplay shows it. And every coach who has ever coached him ALL specifically mentioned his fearlessness and rising to meet the challenge especially at the end of big games.
Please stop talking in a basketball forum, your only hurting yourself.

Jeez, you're as dumb as a brick, completing a trifecta of closed-mindedness and obstinacy. You'd better be careful, you're gonna lose everything you own on one of those bets that you're sure of.

And in Lin's last 7 games prior to injury (all games under Woodson), he played arguably his best games where he led the Knicks to a 6-1 record in blowout wins in which the starters rarely even played in the fourth quarter. And in which he was pretty much the best player on the team and playing better and more under control than during "Linsanity."
