As a Nugs fan, it's nice to see English and Issel on there, but they left off the best player in Nugs franchise history -- David "Skywalker" Thompson. DT was MJ before MJ. In fact MJ said that DT was his hero growing up. If it wasn't for the nose candy, DT would have probably been the best ever, or at least top 5. Definately a shame. What could have been......
Not that I would ever claim to know more about Nuggets history than you, but how was Thompson a better Nugget than English? English's stats look much more impressive and he did it for many more years than Thompson. After Thompson's meteoric rise and fall, English's Nuggets went to the playoffs 8 straight years. Thompson's Nuggets only did that 4 times in the NBA (once in the ABA).
I base it on the fact that DT was possibly the most dominant player in the game at that time. English was always a stud, but he couldn't do half of the things that DT could. DT was just a freak of nature. I heard that a producer is working on a new documentary on Skywalker. Supposed to be REALLY good, I know that they had Jordan lined up to do an interview for it.
