Skydiver preparing for 23 mile jump from the edge of space

I think they said they were going to keep going til they stop rising. Can't remember what height they calculated but they said every test before had gone higher than expected. (120,000 - 130,000)

 

this bores me. How bout a game of basketball? Your crew vs my crew.

They just said he is going to jump.

 

127K, the balloon is rising quickly again. Over 24 miles above the earth.

 

Climbing fast, almost to 127k feet.

 

Just said he is a little more than 24 miles up.

 

Finally slowing down, going over the egress checklist now.

 

How many items are on the checklist?

 

Man, shut up.

 

Check list is at item #15, almost done.

Last time I watched something like this was Karel Soucek attempting the barrel jump in the Astrodome.

 

I like how Baumgartner seems borderline annoyed with Kittinger when Kittinger asks him to confirm certain items on the list.

 

Theoretically, could he do that?
