I think ESPN wins by letting him walk, when Barkley's contract is up at TNT all the news agencies will be able to throw money at him, and ESPN will definitely in the running. Stephen A. and Barkley used to use the same urinal at NBA HQ, he'll be an essential piece in the recruiting process--mark my words.

The fact that Skip Bayless and his painfully transparent contrarian schtick is worth that kind of coin makes me extremely disappointed in the human race. I wasn't too high on it before this news.

but what's going on at ESPN? Everyone is jumping ship. That said, Ditka, Carter and Lewis were all awful.
