I actually could see a McCollum for Ben Simmons trade go down. Portland needs to shake it up and Dame is going to be taking the big shots anyway.

Eric Gordon and DJ Augustin works salary wise lol.

He's still a great defender. Like you say, small ball point-center might be the most natural position for him. Like Draymond Green.

That would be an interesting duo.

Personally, I would never want a guard who is completely incapable of making jump shots or free throws. Even Rondo eventually got a decent shot. Did Simmons grow up playing center or something? How can a point guard not shoot free throws?!

Instead of trying to develop a jump shot, Simmons should just focus on low and high post moves instead. He can be a Giannis lite that can also run the ball in transitions.

He just doesn't fit the mold for a PG in a half court offense. He has the potential to be a great post player/roll man

If he is that inaccurate shooting jump shots, maybe he should use the backboard more often. It is not like not shooting is helping the optics of the situation.

It's not even cracked. It was just not finished because they didn't purchase enough concrete.

Simmons is going to get his shot blocked every time, if he goes underhand.

Simmons to POR and McCollum to PHI is the best. I think both teams win.

PHI gets the scoring threat it needs, when defenses collapse on Embiid. McC/Embiid makes a lot of sense.

POR gets the height, defense and playmaking it needs. Lillard and McCollum also cannabalized each other, to a degree. Lillard's green light gets even brighter, while Simmons can focus on everything else.

Yeah, that was stupid of Doc. Kenny said an interesting thing on TNT last night: “a coach can’t give you confidence, but he can take it away.” I was surprised Doc would make those comments publicly about a guy who is struggling with anxiety or confidence issues.

Even if that’s honestly how Doc feels about the situation, there’s really no upside to that statement. It’s always best to err on the side of supporting your player, even if you ultimately end up trading him.

Another example of Doc being a joke of a coach for sure. Now you pretty much HAVE to trade Simmons if you're Morey. That or fire your overrated coach.

Never liked Simmons ever since he lost to UH, thought was overrated, but I hate to see the guy get totally trashed like this though.

Most of the criticism and weakenesses was within his control since he got drafted though. As much as I hate Giannis I respect the hard work he's put in since entering the league for actually trying to score. Sure his outside shot is broke but Giannis can still score within the paint, something Ben don't even try to do.
