i think if they miss 20-30 games each they don't make the playoffs in the west. also i don't see how either of them is a closer in crunchtime. lebron has typically needed someone else to make the big shots and now he's old. same goes for AD, he needs someone to get him the ball in the right spot first, which doesn't work in the modern game now w/ spacing issues -- can't just give him the ball with 10sec left and expect him to get a bucket off the dribble
Good - we need it to hide the MANY flaws this team has defensively and the few it has offensively too.
if you're as good as we are and the obvious lock on the NBA championship then wouldn't that ALWAYS be the case? just sayin'
The Rockets team that showed up in the first half of that game was terrifying (in all the right ways) but ever since then it’s been very frustrating on the defensive end especially perimeter defense, and coupled with Harden and Ego’s awful shooting slump until the Wizards game was equally terrifying (for all the wrong reasons). I just don’t see how this bad defense is sustainable against the better teams, especially in the West. I’m sure this isn’t the final roster but also don’t see them being able to make a huge improvement defensively without a significant trade and only Capella and Gordon (possibly PJ but I don’t see him being involved in any kind of trade unless it’s a major upgrade) as real valuable trade assets (along with picks). Maybe they start finding their Defensive mojo in the next 5-10 games and expand that point differential in the right direction but I’m not overly optimistic from what I’ve seen so far.
