Since 1999, each year's NBA Final had at least one team from California, Texas, or Florida

16 consecutive years and going on.

Texas, 8 NBA Finals since 1999

California, 7 NBA Finals since 1999.

Florida, 6 NBA Finals since 1999.

This stat is interesting to me. Do you find this interesting? What do you think the cause of this routine for 16 years? I bet next year will be same thing again.

You add Illinois, and this goes back 24 years (or 34 years if you overlook 1990 (Pistons vs. Blazers)). Mind blowing, ain't it?

    Include Chicago, Illinois

    Consecutive years?

I think it's amazing that the last few years, the NBA finals has produced a champion each year.

Interesting, do you know if the production is limited to just one?

30% of the league is in those states and 40% of the Western conference is in those states.

    Not really all that shocking.

Not really interesting considering the 3 best teams since 1999 are the Spurs, Lakers, and Heat.

The only outliers from those states are the Mavs who went twice, and the Magic who went once.

Every other time it was either the Spurs, Lakers, or Heat.

And actually, the Mavs and Magic played the Heat and Lakers. So there isn't even any reason to count those teams.

The Spurs, Lakers, or Heat have been in every NBA Finals since 1999.

What's more interesting to me is that of the last 25 NBA championships, 21 have been won by one of five teams.

The NBA is the league of The Great Houses basically. House of Spur, House of Heat, House of Bull, House of Lake and the House of Rocket.

All the other teams are just vassal houses that fight in the game of thrones but rarely ascend the Iron Throne. House Spur currently rules the land, but House Rocket is prepared to declare war this coming season.
