So Draymond Green is better than Dwight Howard? That's cute SI.

I would be interested in hearing what GSW fans say about Green being higher than Klay Thompson, too.

Lawson is definitely better than Teague but 6-11 are so close the ranking doesnt matter much.

winning always makes you look better.

kevin love could have stayed with the wolves last year had better stats and stayed healthy and would have probably been a little lower on the list this year.

I actually disagree. Timberwolves Kevin Love is thought of so much higher than Cavaliers Kevin Love, and if anything Kevin Love is probably underrated at this point given how much of a scapegoat he was this year.

Those are both fair rankings. I'm not saying Green(Or Klay) is a scrub at all - I think he's a monster defender...he's just not as good overall as the ranking they gave him. Offensively he's still a very inconsistent although he is a fairly intelligent passer out of the high post.

Your right it's a chicken/egg argument for Draymond and the GS defensive system, but the end result is the same - the defense wouldn't be as good if Draymond left, and Draymond wouldn't be near as good if he were playing on most other teams.

I'm as high on Anthony Davis as anyone, you're blind if you can't see how good he is, but ahead of James right now? i'm not convinced.

What advanced defensive stats? The only advanced defensive stat I know (ESPN's DRPM) makes Cousins look good. I'd like to learn of more stats. Hating one's coach and one's team's sucking impacting one's commitment might be understandable.

I trust your bball analysis. Why am I so out of step with the rest of the world on Kawhi Leonard? I just don't see him as a guy who creates offense and draws double teams. On that note, I don't even know if Anthony Davis creates a lot of his own shots. Seems like that isn't valued as much in the NBA as it used to be. Look at how relatively little Lou Williams and Monta Ellis received with their new contracts this summer as evidence.

Kawhi Leonard was the craziest one in my option. A top 50 guy, maybe.

Way overrated? No, they really don't. Boogie's DRPM was excellent, he allowed the same number of shots at the rim as DeAndre Jordan (and allowed a lower FG% on those shots), and the Kings were 7ppg worse defensively per 100 poss with him on the bench. On top of that, he draws more charges than any big in the league, he gets a ton of steals, AND is one of the game's best defensive rebounders.

Cousins was a very good defensive player last year.

As long as Harden was in the top 5, I wasn't going to complain. Personally I think he's the 2nd best player in the League behind lebron beacuse they both bend defenses and can control an entire game in a way curry KD and AD just can't.....but I can't be mad at the guys ranked ahead of him their all mvp/hof caliber too.

I think after this season AD and Harden will be 1 and 2 next year, just a hunch but I think Harden is going to have a monster year like maybe 30ppg with 6/6 on 48/40/90. The games is going to open up in ways he hasn't seen since his last season in OKC.
