You need those 9 points that house will bring he will cut or shoot or attack off the dribble and plays better Defense un
There's a chance we could've won with House playing those Shumpert minutes. Very unlikely he could've done any less than Shumpert, this game or any games going forward. Shumpert is an Ennis replacement if anything. Gives us two good plays, enough to get the forum guys to call out all the "haters" and then proceed to suck the rest of the game. Shumpert shoulda stayed on the kings, he would've been happier and we might've actually gotten a playable rotation piece.
Hindsight's 20/20. But D'Antoni has no excuses going forward. In fact, with Phoenix coming to town, he better play House on Friday. You can't ask for a better opportunity to give him some minutes and let him ease his way back into the NBA.
Shump imho is a little overrated league wise. He was average in Cle. And average in Houston. Even bill Worrell commented on him getting blown by like he was standing still. His contests are horrible. As well as his close out. All he does well defensively is play the padding lanes.
Shumpert vs. House? What will be the field of honor? Who are their seconds? What weapons will be chosen? Are the conditions to first blood or to the death? *sigh* These things have protocols and formalities, you know.
MDA is probably under orders from Murray not to play House unless injuries have left no other option... after all, we wouldn't want House outplaying his min contract and just "using us as a springboard for a higher off season offer..." of course it's the same possibility for Faried, Rivers, GG and even Shumpert... but that was the argument Murray gave for not converting him in the first place... soooooo...... just another plot, perpetrated by the man, designed to keep the brother down... ...and folks prob thought the House drama was over with him get converted... lol
Whats up with pringles and his reasons for playing that bum shumpert over D. House... my God sit that dude down and cut him next year. House needs playing time.
Just temper your expectations guys. House won't be as good as he was, and Shumpert won't be as bad as he's been. It's good to have the option, and it's especially good that if these guys get on a good roll we can shelve Green and Rivers who have for the most part been unplayable as NBA players.
House probably won't be as good as he was, but there is zero indication that Shumpert has any potential on this team. He has done nothing and has looked absolutely terrible. And it's not like he had flashes of brilliance elsewhere. He just seems to talk a lot.
House better take Shumpert's minutes from here on out not because Shumpert sucks or because House has a higher ceiling but because both are facts.
Why is this even a thread? Is the answer really not obvious? House's bad games during his stretch with the team are still more than anything Shumpert has provided.
Shumpert is a multi-millionaire NBA champion with a stunning singer/model wife. House is an undrafted, unheralded g-leaguer whose hunger to make it in the big leagues is evident. The guy's energy sparked the Rockets last time.
