What is going on with shumpert ?

First he has an injury coming out of the ASB and then the first game back he injures his calf .

I know he also missed some games for the kings .

    My question has two parts

    1) what's his statues for tonight
    2) does he have something chronic that is contributing to these injuries or is he just getting unlucky?

The rockets had a physical done on him right ? But I remember them saying that the games he missed after the ASB were from a lingering injury earlier in the season.

One of the only redeemable parts of the shumpert trade is that he is better than knight is THIS YEAR . However , right now he can't stay on the floor for 15 minutes without getting hurt .

I know it's early . I know shumpert hasn't had an opportunity to gel with the team . I know this could just be bad luck .

But something has got to give here . Wtf is going on ?

Still, bigger name value than House. That's all I care about.

This season is like an episode of "Hee Haw":

If it weren't for bad luck
I'd have no luck at all.....
    WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Gloom, despair, is nagging on me

God knows we need the depth but Shumpert also represents a hardcore effort to shed contracts.

Well, Shumpert has always been injury prone, he had two (if not three, can't remember now) knee surgeries when he was in NY so, we just can't expect him to be that healty, basically like Chris, you know he's going to miss games here and there.

It turns out...trading some of your last remaining assets for injury-prone non-contributors is bad!

This entire team has been plagued with injury! Why single out Shumpert? Just because he passed his physical doesn't mean he's immune to an injury. It's just bad luck, that's all it is, nothing more.

Hey it's still early . I was trying to be as unbiased as possible ... it could still be totally worth it IF shumpert gets healthy and contributes.

But , I'm worried that "getting healthy" might not be in the cards for shumpert . If you have a week off and need extra time to heal and injury and then the first game back you hurt something else .... to me that says your body is still compensating and isn't fully healed .

I'm just pissed we let Ennis go for nothing . People will say "oh you love Ennis now " .... I always thought Ennis was decent - Nothing more nothing less . The guy was carving out a nice little role as bench energy

I'm not pissed about Ennis. He was largely bad, but at least had some moments.

House is the obvious solution to our hole at small forward, but that's not happening, so we will continue to willingly have a hole at small forward.

Agree to disagree about Ennis . For his salary , he played about how I expected . I think he could have continued to grow into a nice 15-20 minute guy coming off the bench .

But that's water under the bridge at this point.

Also agree about House . I'm not sure he would start at this point (missing 2 month , not playing NBA basketball for even longer )
But he would definitely be valuable depth

Harden said "need few practices under belt".

Rockets need to sign the peewee herman looking trainer from Cavs.

Injured or not, he brings that LTS. That was always going to be his main contribution.

I honestly would rather have Jimmer Fredette than Shumpert.

We're clearly not going to out defend teams so I think a sniper like Jimmer could help.

    Thank you. I was wondering....

    (a) About the lyrics while being too lazy to Google them, and

    (b) If anyone else would catch the reference.

My folks used to watch Hee-Haw every Saturday (think that's right), so if I wanted to watch TV, I would have to watch it with them. I had a crush on Misty Rowe back then.
