Yes. He plays solid D and gets rebounds but we need someone who can finish offensively under the board.

Howard, Bynum, Noah, Chandler can all play better offensively.

I was watching this the other day and it made me realize Chandler is a much better finisher than Asik

The garbage man get no respect. That's what happens when you do all the dirty work. He would be really hard to replace. Think of the last time we had a similar player.

In a deal for Cousins, if the price is right, I say yes.

Chandler gets paid $14 million for putting up:
    12.6 PPG
10 RPG (4.2 offensive rebounds per game)
    0.9 BPG

Asik gets paid $8.3 million for putting up:
    10.9 PPG
11.8 RPG (3.3 offensive rebounds per game)
    1.2 BPG

Asik is 26 in his first season as a starter and Chandler is 30. We would not have room to offer a max contract if we traded for Chandler. #moneyball

I prefer Asik at his salary and his size over Noah and Bynum's knees. The verdict is still out on Howard post-surgery.

IMO, Osik is as valuable on defense as Harden on offense for the Rockets. He is the foundation of the Rockets defense. If you get rid of him, expect giving up a LOT of easy baskets and hell lot of frustration watching the Rockets.

I wouldnt trade him for either.

    One has no knees left
And one doesn't want to be here

Omer can be a 15/15 guy who is a team player.

F Bynum and Howard. Do not want.

just have him working on catching and finishing/dunking
from what I hear, he is a gym rat, so that's a huge plus

Bynum is completely damaged injured goods... He's almost as bad off as Oden in this risk evaluation era due to the bad economy of the NBA...

No. We should have traded Marcus Morris when he went on that 3 point tear though.

Are you serious, the guy is a workhorse plays great D, boards, tough unselfish doesn't demand the ball when there are already two ball dominant players on the team.

    Asik is a keeper!!

Asik should be kept, that's a no-brainer. However, along with Harden and Lin's natural tendencies to turn over the ball, Asik's stone hands is a big part of why we average the most TOs per game in the NBA. I had thought he'd improved on catching the ball, especially after the Chicago game, but apparently I was wrong.

Why would we trade a great defensive young center who happens to be our second player? What a stupid thread

Morey has basically said he's going to trade up, not down. If Asik is going to be moved, it will be for a star in Morey's mind. And if such a player is available for Asik + other pieces? I would help him pack his bags myself.

For example, Minnesota moving Kevin Love? And Asik needs to be part of a 3 way trade(since Minnesota has Pekovic)? No problem for me.

The continued existence of this thread is ridiculous. Asik seriously outplayed both Love and Noah last week. Give the guy a chance. Rox fans should be loving this guy!

Here is the ideal scenario where I can see trading Asik. The heat lose the finals because they get beat up based on size. We get our max guy this offseason and then we trade Asik and some assets for Bosh.

On one hand, a good scoring option on the 5 spot would definitely thrive with the abundance of playmakers in this team.

On the other, our defense sucks a**. Asik is the best defender on the team. I'd definitely stick with Asik since we don't need much more offense than what we have now.
