he'd be the only one moving without the ball. He would like he is a crazy man. can't play with harden.
Interesting...he's great off of the ball and, in my opinion, still underrated for what he brings to the table. However, he doesn't address our real need? How would you feel about acquiring a frequent flyer, as an expiring for expiring? Hell, Dwight used to call him fam. Maybe, just maybe, he could bring us all back together. It's time to flock together.
You guys crack me up. Complain day and night about the lack of team basketball, and when one of the best off the ball cutters and shooters becomes available: "NOPE, DO NOT WANT"
Martin would be perfect for us coming off the bench with Lawson. Hope we can nab him for cheap. Still need to address Defense & Rebounding.
this team needs more perimeter defense. a 3d wing would help a lot more than martin. i'd rather have thornton than martin cuz of the contract and he's already doing well here. he also hustles on d. we know what kevin does on d. we can re-sign him to a smaller deal kevin has.
Will gladly take Martin if they throw in Rubio too. (Rubio would make us so much better on D and transiting to offense.) Dude, if you're referring to Smoove here (and I hope you are), this would be awesome. Terrence to Clippers and Smoove back here where he belongs. But...salaries don't work. So Clippers will have to throw in Cole Aldrich. And that would be so crazy good for us. This has me salivating.
How many more times it needs to be repeated??? He does NOT want to come here. The last thing we need is a player who doesnt want to be here to mess with the chemistry even more.
Meh. Martin's barely better than Thornton and Thornton hasn't been disappointing. Smith is interesting. I find it hard to believe the Clippers would trade him to us or release him outright knowing we'd snap him up. He would be nice off the bench though. I know people like to think Jones is a piece of crap but the man is hitting a career high 40% of his 3's. Smith simply can't do that. Nor can he hit 63% of his FT's like Jones. Can't compete on overall FG% either. He's a worse rebounder than Jones for his career, and barely better than Jones recently. Jones's asst/to ratio is 0.91:1 while Smith's is 1.15:1 in comparison. Smith is the superior defender and shotblocker though, plus his experience and ability to get the ball to Dwight paid huge dividends last season.
I think you see exactly what I'm seeing. The Rockets base their whole Moreyball offense scheme off SPACING. In order for us to win games we need efficient 3pt shooters to space the floor. Not only does Martin space the floor but he gets to the FREE THROW LINE at a ridiculous rate (when needed). We all know he's not a defender so ehhh. But if it could stop those TERRIBLE droughts we go through where nobody can hit then I'd take Martin. I hate those droughts
Do you people think there are 15,000 people in the NBA? we cant nab prototype high flying 3 and d sharpshooter lebron stopper that doesnt party and is motivated for Brewer and crumbs. Take whats on the table ffs
