It looks like a no brainer to me. This is what Morey was holding out for. A low risk but potentially high reward contract. If he returns to form, this contract is a steal. If he doesn't you cut your losses and it's no big deal.

I'm definitely excited about seeing him play center for us. It'll be interesting to be able to throw out a lineup in which everybody on the court can hit the three.

I like D-Mo, his post moves were great before he got injured. He was a solid player, I say just take the risk and match. Getting D-mo over and cutting one of the players that just sitting on bench might be worth.

With that contract how do you not match? He can provide tremendous depth and enticing match ups assuming he stays healthy. Chemistry is the only issue but there's nothing stopping us from pegging him on the end of the bench or holding him out with an "injury" and trading him before the deadline.

I'm not convinced he will ever return to what he was but like I have maintained throughout this saga; if the price is right I am happy to have him back.

Do I think he's the magical crystal ball that some here believe he is? Absolutely not. But when teams double James and front him, having Dmo as a bail out will be a great option. I hope he's been working on his three point shot too.

    Welcome back Donuts.

Dmo added to the mix will make this team even better.

I would cut brewers minutes even more.

I dunno if he will return to form , but if he does then he's better than Harrell and Nene . It's probably worth the 5 mil to check out that possibility . Plus if Ariza misses time then Dekker will slide to the 3 . **** d'antoni has been playing Dekker at the 2/3 already .

The main place where Dmo is an upgrade (given he returns to form ) is on defense .

I actually do not see any backsides to this. From what I skimmed through not even the second year is guranteed. Seems lke the Nets really structured this for them to get out if it doesn't work out.

    Not sure DMo fits.

Can't see D'Antoni slowing the game down and letting DMo post up.

DMo isn't going to run the floor with this team.

He can't play above the rim.

He's a decent piece but we're playing checkers and he's made for chess.

People think we have no minutes for him, just wait till the trade, deadline when we add Cousins and lose all the depth.

Because you have an injury prone starting power forward in Ryan Anderson. D-Mo is insurance.

People saying we don't need Dmo is just foolish. The Rockets play well against teams that play small but we saw what happened against a great defensive team like the Jazz. They were shut down from the 3-point line and Harden was shut out from penetrating the paint. The Rockets had no adjustments and needed to mix things up. Dmo brings another dimension that gives you low post scoring and can pull bigs out from the paint with his shooting. And he would not mess with the chemistry b/c he has great passing skills and plays well off the ball. What makes it better is if he gets back to playing like he did before, he will be a bargain for the next 4 years.
