If Colt is cut, I think the Texans should kick the tires. He has to at least be able to throw as hard as Schaub and I think the system fits him with the bootlegs and shorter routs.

Not advocating the system as I'm not really a fan of all the dinking and dunking. I just think Colt could run this offense in its present form.

So you want to replace Schaub...with another noodle arm?

It says as of March 26, so the Texans would have less than $4.9 million after the Greg Jones signing if i'm not mistaken.

Didn't catch the date(good catch). Jones signed for 1 yr, $1 mil. Probably not that simple, ha, but...

So almost 4 mil. To spend or will they reserve considering the extra draft picks?

Nope. Schaub has an average arm, McCoy has a noodle arm. I don't think people really understand how weak McCoy's arm is or they vastly underrate Schaub's.

We all listed Greg Jones and Lechler as guys to sign, which is why this is the best armchair GM forum in the country.

That is correct. Schaub has shown the ability to throw deep when needed. Anyone remember the denver game?

What people fail to understand is that offense is complex and requires a lot of work to command. Sooooo many of our problems last season were due to not being able to run the ball consistently. Look at San francisco, kapernick by no means is an elite quarterback but their running game is brutal. San Fran will literally beat your ass on the line of scrimmage with their linemen, heck thats why they are so good.

I hope that the greg jones signing will help our run department, one thing we all know that the jaguars did well was runt the ball well.

    Just look at this man!

I mean of course the speed is not there today, but god dam! The man probably hits like a ****ing tank!

The only things we need to do now is draft some solid rookies. Preferably starting off with a MLB or another pass rusher and going WR after.

A short, weak-armed, injury prone inaccurate QB. We should jump on him

We should just sign all of the Texas scrubs that are struggling to get PT in the league. They gotta be good since they all went to Texas "HOOK EM BROTHER!":rolleyes::rolleyes:

Gotta take a step back and quit trying to pick out players with your heart and use your head guys!

Haha, you guys are killing wadero. Maybe he was just making a humorous comment on how bad he thinks Colt is.

that's weird. Seems to mean they aren't going to sign him?

He's definitely got skills and size.

His only 2 problems have been lack of a competent QB and recently being a health risk.

He'd be a good minimum salary signing, if they decide to make it happen.
