This was more about great Rockets help defense than any sort of individual effort by Morris.

Yes you can say that. But you have to give Morris some credit by only allowing Zbo to go where there was defensive help

Good help defense or not, Marcus's man only had 10 points. Mook's to be congratulated. Zach is a load.

    Rediculous statement.

There is no such thing as getting too hyped when the youngest team in the NBA is beating NBA Play-off teams. I'm not sure what you are calling pretenders but if you think beating Miami is the one and only sign that a young team is playing well your crazy.

You're right, forcing your man to spots on the floor where you can get help can be important.

The Rockets, including Morris, seemed to be on the same page with that to counter some of Randolph's tendencies.

Too bad Morcus won't be up for any kind of ROTY award. He hardly saw the floor last year and when he got on he looked like a highschooler out there.

Morris is definitely making a case for himself, that's for sure.

The 4 is the most uncertain position when looking to the future that the team has.

    1) With Smith, Dmo, Morris, Jones, White and Pat all at that position, the competition, depth and possibilities are widely varied.

    2) While Smith, Pat and Morris have all have had good stints, none have done it consistently and long enough to rise clearly above the others. We are currently waiting to see if someone emerges into the role. We (I) dont know what Morey's timetable is in regards to emergence. Much depends on the rest of the league in the sense that its unforeseeable who might become available via trade and what that perspective team wants in return (and whether we got the goods they want).

    3) While still in the hunt for a #2 superstar, and being relatively set at the 1, 2, 3, & 5 (not to say the 1,3 & 5 couldn't be bettered), the most likely landing spot for this type player is at the 4. Add to this that any team trading an elite 4 would want 4's back, which we have in abundance making a potential swap that much easier.

    Fascinating. Does Morey use this?

2Pats did very well tonight in his split minutes with mook... i really liked his effort, boxing out and most importantly his rebounding... he seems hungry again comin off his injury...

In just under 23minutes Patsquatch recorded 15 and 10 with 2 assists... on the other hand mook recorded 5 and 4 with one steal in almost 22minutes...

With one extra minute of PT 2pats contributed 3-fold...

If Pat plays like tonight every night, no. Re-engage the Morris at small forward project please.

Until Pat can hit the 3 with as much consistency as Morris, he should be coming off the bench.

At the game tonight. Clearly PPat made this win a lot easier. When Parsons dished that pass, no hesitation by patterson and swish nothing but net. He rebounded and boxed out very well and basically brought us home along with the Beard of course,.

Morris/Patterson equals solid stats and combined tools.
