Should Kevin McHale lose his job after the first round loss?

Then I'm not coming back. I am not gonna waste my time sitting through 82 games only to watch another inevitable postseason flameout under this guy. Remember, this season nearly everyone who covers the NBA picked the Rockets to make the 2nd round at the beginning of the season. 90% of sports writers and commentators had the Rockets winning this series(some even thought in 5 games). And here we are with another first round exit and what was essentially a wasted season.

Yes, a wasted season. You know why? Because this year's outcome was EXACTLY THE SAME AS LAST YEAR'S. We lose in 6 games in the first round. And even worse, it was against an team inferior to the Thunder, with a better, healthier roster than a year ago, and with home court advantage. McHale cannot be allowed to return and waste yet another year when the window to win a title can be so short.

 

I expect him to resign tomorrow morning.

 

Also, he's an awful coach. I should have added that.

 

-Someone who will hold them accountable and bring the best out of them.
-Someone who has coached personalities before

 

When Lin sprinted upcourt and tried to make a driving layup under two minutes while up 2, instead of killing time, and got blocked, I was done. Howard got the rebound and missed both free throws. That it would even occur to Lin to push that one-on-two situation speaks to poor coaching. McHale needs to go.

if the front office decides to retain him, quite a few people are going to abandon this franchise. in the end, there is only so much stupid a fan can take.

This was our first year with Dwight and as a competitive team. We played 3 OT games and lost on a 3 point shot with .9 seconds left.

I doubt they fire McHale.

 

Love him as a person, but he is not a championship coach...need accountability, need defense, need schemes...
