I had a beard like that. After a while its impossible to keep it lookin good, while growing it.

I always wonder how Freeway keeps his lookin so clean. I was going to barbershop and special shampoo. i finally just said eff it and cut it

That's what makes him marketable, but at least trim it down a bit. It's starting to really look nasty.

Get outta here. It's like asking Jeremy Lin to get a tattoo so he fits in better with other players. The beard is part of his identity.

Should Jordan grow out his hair?
Should Dr. J have cut off his afro?
    Should Dwight wear baggy clothes?
Should Faried cut off his dreads?
Should Larry Bird have cut off his mullet? (well, maybe this...)

Its called Branding. Its a big part of being a superstar in the NBA, and increasing familiarity.

I personally could care less as long as it doesn't get so long that he trips over it on his way to the hoop. Plus, you run the risk of him shaving it and loosing his super powers.

He should get rid of it and move on to other things. Maybe grow out his pit hair... then he'll be known as "Fear The Pit"

As in the Pit and the Pendulum.

Im starting to think the beard is unsymmetrical thus affecting his balance and causing his shooting woes. No, I'm not serious but jesus imagine the unlucky girl he goes down on and he ends up cutting her up. Its like steel wool.

Shave his beard? That's his trademark you are talking about! His BRAND!! Why do you want to take money out of his pocket? Why do you want to take money away from the strippers and clubs he visits frequently?

    Why do you hate capitalism!?

This is dumb. My only beard related question with Harden is why do we not have some sort of marketing campaign involving the other bearded local legends - ZZ Top?

    Shave it off.

    Maybe it'll help his defense.
