I've always liked his game and he has proven in the past that he's worthy of starting. He is really lighting up OKC right now. What do you guys think?
I think that if the topic is thread worthy (and personally, I don't think it is), the thread should have been started after the game. That's something that shouldn't have to be said, OP.
When his shot is falling in the bucket, keep him on. AB is a beast when his shot is on, but defensively...ugh.
perfect off the bench. 09 AB would start because he could get to the rim with his speed a lot better, but this AB is good off hte bench.
No way, i've enjoyed ABs run with Houston. But there's a reason why Dmorey let him go after he won the MIP.
This team doesn't play fundamental basketball. Even though they're up....they did things that beg for losing like never box out and let the other team get 2nd chance after 2nd chance.
The perfect backcourt mate for Harden needs to: - Shoot threes effectively - Play at least above average defense - Ability to run the team to give Harden some breaks from playmaking all the time Aaron does the first as perfect as anybody on the team, but he lacks in the other two categories. Lin can do all the points but at an average to above average rate. Beverly does the first two points pretty well but struggles to run the team at times. But the first two points are the most important points to being a suitable backcourt mate for Harden so I think Bev should get the nod as starter. He isn't the perfect mate, but on the team he is the best option for what you need. Lin is a close second but having him in the bench would be dangerous as he can do what he wants. Brooks is the wildcard.
Brooks is not a mental midget not Lin. However, Brooks was not gifted with the tools that Lin has to finish on offense and height to play defense. As a result he is pretty useless when his 3's aren't falling.
