    Early reports say at least 10 dead.

    They said the gunman was "heavily protected" :eek:

    Saying 14 dead now

    The gunman released a "gas canister" at the front of the movie before opening fire.

    Wow.. how terrible :(

    At least 50 injured and taken to 3 different hospitals.. unreal..

    The guy they have in custody also claimed he wired several explosives in an apartment near by, but so far no one has found anything after evacuating the entire place...

    This is absolutely horrible. It saddens me to think that someone could do that with no apparent motive (at least not yet). Unfortunately, this movie is now scarred with this tragedy.

    Incredible movie btw. This story brought me down after being supremely overjoyed with the Dark Knight Rises.

    That is terrible to hear.

    I assume no one gave much thought to a person dressed in full body armor and a gas mask, probably just a Batman fan dressed for the premiere.

    Sad to hear.

    To be honest i couldn't care less about the motive and all, but it would be very disturbing if the gunman shot those people just to get the "feel" or be "part" of the dark knight experience.

    I'm surprised the shooter didn't take his own life most mass shootings I recall that seems to be the trend.
