Think the Mariners are a good spot for Ohtani. Japanese owners, west coast, decent team, etc.

So says the experts that about 4 hours ago believed that the Yankees were going to be the landing spot for him.

I didn't want him anyways. Would be too awkward in our locker room with known LOH Gurriel .

He *has* to go AL, right? Wants to pitch and hit? DH is a perfect fit. Would be very surprised if he went NL, but who knows. Looks like Seattle or Angels, but I’m still praying he comes to us.

IS it coincidence that all his desired destinations are East coast or is that really a driving factor in his decision? If it is then he sounds like a moron.

    edit: west coast

Why? It's the next 6 years of his life. Why wouldn't he choose to go somewhere that makes him happy? Easier access to home, potentially a larger Asian culture, easier transition to the US, etc. Most free agents have where they want to live as a piece of the puzzle, just as regular people do when they are choosing whether to take a job or not.

Closer proximity to Japan. Typically better Japanese populations. More likely better Japanese food.
