Shaq meant "little" as in media market or hype. Houston is also a football and baseball town before basketball.

Shaq knows exactly what he meant. It was a double entendre, meant as a little gibe at both Dwight and Houston, but with enough vagueness for him to back out if need be.

 

Now I get it. Shaq still hasn't recovered from getting swept in 95! :grin::grin: In the words of the infamous Kobe, "put yur big boy pants on" and get over it.

 

Sure, Shaq. That's why you said, "YEAH, I SAID IT" after spewing your garbage. He knows exactly what he said, and he knows he's most likely going to look like a damned fool for saying it, so he's backpedaling now.

Oh yes, my wife has the older version (if yours is the newer) of the Windows phone. She hates it.

 

Pretty typical.

When something happens and you get caught in the moment you sometimes say off the wall stuff. Then you have to back track later. "Town" in itself implies small.

 

Houston is a major market with a large diverse population. The city itself is huge.

People here know that, and I can't speak for everyone but I don't like my city being treated or looked at like a second rate city when there is so much awesome in Houston.

It behooves LA to keep that image alive of Houston being a small hick town when it comes to free agency. No we don't have the glitz of an LA or NY, but we're not some small hicktown in the middle of nowhere that players are going to come to and fall off the grid.

 

No kidding. Shaq may play the clown, but he isn't stupid. He meant what he said, and is now trying to wiggle out of the comment. Shaq should just make an open, abject apology to the City of Houston for his remarks and be done with it.
