Who knew he had it in him? For those who didn't see the play, Anderson delivered a tomahawk facial to Gerald Wallace. The only Knicks basket by anyone else during that stretch was a powerful breakaway dunk by Shandon Anderson over the outstretched arm of Gerald Wallace. ''I had a glimpse of who was coming to get it. Either he was going to block it or I was going to get him,'' Anderson said. The dunk fired up the crowd and led Sacramento coach Rick Adelman to call timeout with his team trailing 82-76. Anderson failed to convert a three-point play after the dunk, but Nailon kept the momentum on New York's side by hitting a corner jumper and a baseline drive to make it 86-77. No picture or link, but suffice to say that it was nasty.
A side note: Lee Nailon looked awfully good last night. He'd probably look better in some pinstripes.
He's averaging 20 mpg so far - granted some players are injured, but Sacramento is just stacked with talent. He is playing pretty decent as well.
nba.com has the highlights of Kings v Knicks and has the Shanderson dunk and a close up replay, very Nasty
Barkley and Thomas Hamilton did. Don't you know vertical stripes are very slimming. Well, maybe not Thomas Hamilton.
