It seems like there are enough other teams interested that SA doesn't have to take LA's inferior package to send him within the conference.
He has 7% body fat. Top athlete. He's not eating that **** Barkley's women on the River Walk are eating.
I wouldn't assume their package would be inferior. The Lakers have a lot of assets. The Celtics have more but they are stingy with their assets as well. I hope that he doesn't go to LA.
About time our churro brethren had a rebuild. If done properly, the Spurs could have a quick and painless rebuild without ever needing to tank. Here's how... 1. Trade Kawhi for Ingram and Lonzo, then offer to take Deng off the Lakers' hands for Kuzma, Hart, a 2019 first round pick. That's likely the market price anyways for dumping Deng's $36 million contract. Lakers bite the bullet so they can go after LeBron and George in free agency with money to spend. 2. Flip Lonzo for a lottery pick in the 2018 draft. There will always be a sucker team falling for the Big Baller trap... Kings, Hawks, Mavs, etc. And you know Pops would love to get his hands on Luka Doncic right as Ginobili hits retirement. 3. Trade Aldridge to the Grizzlies for Parsons and the 4th pick. Aldridge would be a great fit next to the other Gasol... Finesse & Grind. Again, the market price of dumping Parsons' $50 million contract is expensive. Meanwhile, Pops needs a defensive anchor so Mohamed Bamba would be the perfect fit like a Rudy Gobert. Roster: Mills / Hart Kuzma / Murray Doncic / Green / Parsons Ingram / Deng Bamba / Gasol 2019 first round pick via Lakers Now, that looks like a fine young team in quick rebuild. In two years, Deng and Parsons come off the books, and the Spurs are ready to compete in the Western conference playoffs again.
He doesn't have a no trade clause and Pop is on the record saying he will NOT trade with LAL. If I'm SAS, I'm trading him to SAC or ATL for their pick and player(s).
It has been reported that Pop WILL NOT trade with LAL and he's not one to go back on his word so we'll see. The other parts of your deal are still in play but swap out LAL and add SAC or ATL for their pick. SAS could end up with pick 2&3 or 2&4 or 3&4. Which means they can get Doncic and a Big which is an immediate reload without rebuilding.
