Last 8 games: (not including last one bc he got hurt & only play 7 mins) 14.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.1 steals in less than 30 mpg .456 FG% .455 3pt% (on 5.5 attempts) .813 FT% .593 TS% 20 year old rookie. Yeah clearly a bust.
cool. @ me when the years over and after that. im sure glad a span of 8 games out of how many games played only matters to you
a bust ? lol people got to stop calling rookies in their rookie years busts. Only 20 in his rookie year. Can't judge for 5 years
He's looked AWFUL and he's gotten a lot of minutes so 8 games mean absolutely nothing. That being said calling a rookie 20 year old a bust is a bit premature, many players have looked completely lost their rookie season and end up nice players down the road. This reality doesn't do much for his trade value though, at best I'd say he'd currently be worth a very late 1st or early 2nd on the market. I'd be extremely disappointed if he was the "prize" in a Capela deal.
For rookies showing progression, yes it actually means a lot. And watching the games...dude is 6’9” in shoes, gets his shot whenever he wants (shots are now starting to fall similar to Trae last yr obviously not close to Trae volume though) and shown really really good defense at times. He can create his own shot while showing high volume 3pt shooting on great %’s. He’s still raw but no way he’s a bust. Adding strength helping him finish at the rack more consistently would be huge for his potential.
Yeah you see..I kept hearing he sucks and he's a bust who does nothing well But then I saw a Hawks game recently (windowshopping for the trade deadline) and he was amazing. So maybe he has started playing better.
Exactly. I was thinking the same thing, but I feel his trade value has regressed for the same reasons.
Get their power forward and small forward to join us. dont deal with wolves. Can we get k love or Drummond instead
Who would we have at center if we got rid of Capela? Tucker? And go small ball? The other guys are to old
Drummond no good here. We need a center that can shoot and not live under the rim. Gives more space for WB or Harden to drive.
Appears he has an ongoing back injury. Rumored to be chronic when he was drafted. Believe he sat out first season too. https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/w...its-frustrating-season-working-through-injury
Any other year it would have been for their ugly cousin that'll die in a year, Traded Player Exception.
Yup. Correct. This was never about the repeater tax. You have to operate under the assumption that we will never pay the luxury tax. There are still people who defend this man as an owner.
